Block i just wanna go ahead and say thanks man, I always wanted to get into ridin since I was a kid and get into fixin up old bikes and cars. I found your channel a while back and it inspired me enough to finally learn to ride. I took the safety course, mind you it was my first time throwing a leg over a bike and after that I was completely hooked. After passing and getting my endorsement I found an old Road star that's been poorly treated and decided to take it upon myself to fix her up and bring it back to what will hopefully be it's glory days. I just wanna say thanks cause of not for stuff like your beginner riding vids and these videos of wrench in on your bikes, I wouldn't have taken the first step into bikes for awhile.

Imo, if you rounded the end of the frame to match the holes for the bolts may look cleaner. Builds lookin good.

Hey block, do yourself a favor and pick up some abrasive pads for your grinder. Itll save you time and headaches over doing the bigger jobs with your dremel. Like $5 at harbor freight.👍

Use duct tape like a "dog hair remover" and tap your arms with the tape to try to remove the metal fibers.

Love the short rear fender blockhead. Watched this to help decide whether or not to do it to my 2018 forty eight I bought new but not sure I would have the heart to do it to a new bike seems sacrilegious. 😦

Do you have to disconnect the read shocks to do this job? I saw another video of a guy - removed fender, chop frame and chop fender all without disconnecting the rear shocks.

I notice you just have the ECM hooked up to the stock wiring harness. Are you running a Power Commander or any type of fuel/ air management?

Next time you cut wear long sleeves also put a Magnet in the washer. It will even pull out the grease.
