Groundbreaking of New York City's First Offshore Wind Hub - South Brooklyn Marine Terminal

The South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT) is being revitalized into New York City's first offshore hub. Once completed the port will serve as a staging and assembly site for the Empire Wind project.
At the groundbreaking Equinor was joined by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Congressmen Dan Goldman and Jerry Nadler, NYSERDA President and CEO Doreen Harris, Elizabeth Yeampierre of UPROSE, as well as numerous community, labor, city and state officials.
