Simply beautiful
I saw THE MAN in Tilburg back in 2000 and something. Went on to see him at his home town venue in Sneek. Was given tix by his manager Bert Biljs, and Jan himself invited me up to join the band backstage during intermission in Sneek. It was a week in the Netherlands that I will always cherish.

Gaat niet meer beter worden dan dit. Gelukkig nog een aantal kanjers, echter Jan is zooo hoog. Zo onneembaar af. Komen er een paar slechts bij en naast. Beter niet. TIp : in zijn soort: Joscho Stephan, kijken, luisteren. Tof man ! Ook achterlijk goed. Lekker zuks !

Leif de Leeuw 1x gezien en 1x gehoord, kwam geen eind aan. Technisch gefreak heeft niets te maken met dit “heart and soul” nummer van Golden Moore! Afblijven tenzij je je verdiept in zijn aanpak!!
Technisch gefreak? Vrij basic simpel gitaarspel. Zit maar 1 snelle lick rondom minuut 4. Jij bent dus geen gitaarspeler duidelijk. Dit gezegd, Gary Moore heeft een sustain en vibrato waar deze man niet aan tipt in deze versie.

Toch was Gary veel beter, emotioneler, niet een stilstaand beeld dat toevallig goed gitaar kan lezen.
Muziek is emotie, mis ik hier volkomen.

@@XI4RAMSES Gary Moore man, dat is wereldklasse. Drie keer live gezien. Dan ging je als gitaarspelende knaap met een complex naar huis. Veel en veel beter onderlegd dan (de toch al heel goede) Akkerman, hoor!

Well played i only wish it was Jan doing the soloing. Never heard him cover a Gary Moore song & i guess i still haven't but the guy soloing plays very well & you can't be onstage with the likes of Jan if you don't play well. Saw Jan in 73 when Focus did their only USA tour. Peter Frampton's Camel opened up for them & Focus played for close to 3 hours . The show was at Merriweather Post Pavilion in MD. One awesome as hell show & sad they never came back & Jan won't come to the States but he's still one of the best players ever.

Jammer dat deze "muzikanten" niet de moeite hebben genomen de originele akkoorden en arrangement over te nemen. De subtilitieit van het origineel is zo vakkundig naar de kloten geholpen.
This is Parisienne Walkways played poorly, why isn’t JA playing it but no one will play it as good as Gary Moore.

Parisienne walkways is one of my favourites by Gary Moore. But this one here is not bad at all! OFC Gary Moore will rule forever! :)
having seen both Akkerman and Moore play in the early 1970's I'd say Moore wouldn't have even written any of this but for the influence of Akkerman and one or two other notables who wrote music in this style . Tgo listen back and get an education before making such crass comments .
