This is the third vlog in Georgia, where I got to explore the beautiful views of Kazbegi region, Gergeti Trinity Church and Russia - Georgia Friendship Monument.
Kazbegi is one of the most enchanting destinations in Georgia. Located on the military highway, the mountainous highway is close to Russia's border. Kazbegi is an ideal getaway for mountain lovers
The Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument is a monument built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between the ski resort town of Gudauri and the Jvari pass, the monument is a large round stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus mountains.
Gergeti Trinity Church is the crown of Stepantsminda and an outstanding example of Georgian architecture. The cathedral itself was built during the 14th century. In the old days, whenever Georgia was attacked by an enemy, the church’s treasury was kept here to preserve it, since the road leading to it was extremely difficult. Nowadays there is a paved road from Stepantsminda to Gergeti you can walk up, or you can also take a taxi or jeep tour with a guide.
