This is the Sunday evening market in Pak Phanang in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the south of Thailand. It's a huge market, with dozens of Thai street food vendors, clothes stalls and heaps of other shopping. You'll find lots of delicious local specialities there, including some you're unlikely to find anywhere else
The market is open every Sunday from 4pm till 8pm.
The Google Maps coordinates for the market are: goo.gl/maps/g59uCEQSSrrUrjvk9
Nakhon Si Thammarat (นครศรีธรรมราช) is both a province and a city in Southern Thailand and it's is a foodie Paradise ... there is loads of great food there! It is well off the tourist trail and is a destination that not a lot of people visit, however it’s a great province where you can get a taste of real Thai culture. It has some amazing Thai food and attractions that you can visit. And there is loads to do - great markets, restaurants, beaches, islands, national parks, waterfalls and even pink dolphins! It’s a beautiful part of Thailand!

You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food has taken many influences from Chinese food so you will find many familiar flavours. Thai food markets and night markets are some of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since April 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in Thai restaurants. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Hey Folks,
Welcome back. If you’re wondering where we’ve been, in March it was 4 years that I have been making weekly videos. I needed a little down time as all my free time goes into making videos and I have a lot of other time commitments too. I decided I deserved and had earned some "me time". The weekly videos are back as of now 🙂
We hope all is well with all of you, and hope you enjoy this video. We will see you next week!
Good on you for taking some 'me time' Darren. Weekly videos for 4 years is such an achievement, but also it must be such hard work. Great to see you back and hope you enjoyed your downtime
Finally, you are back! So happy to see you and your family video

The colors are fantastic too ,impressed by all your “stuff”.
Thanks a lot Carl. It's been the same camera since July, 2017. The lighting was nice there at the time we were at that market though, so that helps with the colors. Maybe one day there will be smelevision .. there are some great aromas at those markets!

G'day Darren, It's fantastic to see you all after a well deserved break. Thank you for another fantastic video. You have shown us that Nakhon Si Thammarat Thailand is a wonderful place to explore Thai street food. I've been going through some bad Thai food withdraws recently while you were on your break so I'm really glad your back mate. A big cheers and Happy Easter from Perth Australia. 👍
Hahahaha, thanks mate, I hope you can get into some tasty Thai soon!
Happy Easter to you and the family👍👍
I love seeing banana leaves being used, so much cleaner than plastic!
Yes, it's a great move. The Thai government announced 2 days ago that some types of plastic will be banned this year, and more by the end of 2022 .. another great move: www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/national/30367931

Good Afternoon from Las Vegas....
I still remember the days when you had to carry your son and you only had around 2000 subscribers. Glad to see you have made a go of it. The food in Thailand is my favorite cuisine. I love it hot and spicy. Thanks for sharing and all your hard work.
Thanks! Yes, I remember those days too :)
สวัสดีค่ะ😋😋
yes welcome back and pleased the FB gossip was,nt true that your wife had run off with a " tuk tuk " driver ...
Great video as always. I do have a question though. What is the brown food before the eggs near the beginning of the video? I thought it might be some kind of grape but I'm not really sure. Have a great weekend hun, hugs from me as always 😁
Thanks Gina! I don't know exactly what they were, I think probably some type of bean or nut. I'll ask next time I see them. Hope you have a great weekend too, hugs back from us :)
Yep! Put the boy to work now, 2 good arms!! Good food, nice walk about mate. Give greetings to your soul-mate, of course to you, yourself, and him. Ha! Maybe your wife can give us another 'recipe segment' some good ideas from her?? In the mean time I will hope the best for you and your family. 💪👍
Hahaha, yes, it is about time he started pulling his weight Ross ;)
All the best back to you from us. There is something brewing in the recipe field .. stay tuned for more on that one. Hope you have a great week ahead!
Thank you so much Darren , We missed you weekly videos but most important stay happy and healthy to you and family , Darren are you still teaching at school? if so you would hardly have any free time,Happy Easter
and Happy Songkran from Surfers Paradise Qld
Thanks Peter, Happy Easter to you too!
Yes, I am still a teacher.
Good for you, Darren. That is the reason I don't make vids. This on was niiiice. Btw, can you explain how monetizing works, specifically as to watched/skipped ads? I noticed recently, on lots of channels, that YT has been not only doubling up on adds, ergo, running two consecutively, but running a 15 sec spot followed by a 2-10 MINUTE ad. If I watch the first ad and skip the second, do you still get paid for me watching the first ad? I hate to cost you money if that is the case. I can adjust my viewing to account for the long ads, but not for all my subscriptions. I am reasonable about 30-60 second ads, but we all have our limits. Let me know. I might have to drop some subscriptions if I cannot support the channels regularly. BTW, I will not drop yours lol.
Thanks TFL. Sorry, I don't know how it works, but CZcams did the doubling up on adverts. I Imagine if you watch one of the ads the channel would get paid for you watching that one.
Just had a good laugh. Ning said" I hear you say that to me before " what? "Tell me not have spack attack. What mean? "😂
Hahaha
Happy to see your son has had his cast removed.
Great video. Looking forward to eating real Thai market food again.
Yes I've missed ya... Put as you said you deserve some me time forsure forsure. Everyone deserves some me time. Don't blame you for that.
I foresure don't want you to get burned out on making food videos. Bc I wouldn't get to see those giant prawns. And I must see those huge things. We don't see them in Missouri @ all. We might see a huge crawdad or crayfish or mud bugs is what they call them in Mississippi or Louisiana or New Orleans. They sure do taste good. I had my first one about a year ago @ that restaurant I told you about when I ate that softshell crab. It's not the Red Lobster restaurant where I have shrimp fest at. It sure had some good eats there & they where super nice @ that crawfish boil place.
You 3 be safe & have a wonderful weekend,
Chris from Missouri
Hahaha, thanks Chris. Hopefully there will be more huge prawns coming to my plate soon! It sounds like you have a good range of seafood over there, I hope some will find its way to your plate soon too.
Have a wonderful weekend too!
Keeping your head and family straight comes first...glad nothing serious.
Hi Darren just watched the video and your wife had noodles with prawns and sticky rice and pork are these hot or cold ? Thanks
They were all cooked fresh and all warm. Street food is served warm in Thailand, if it's not warm they reheat it for you.
🙏💙💙💙Yummy
Hello brother💖💖💖💖
Hi!
A mound of beautiful pork
G'dayy, Another Yummi Vid Guys ;-) lol nice to see NandA Wanting Shine :-) at end of vid, Ma Pick Me Up Plz & Is That Nice ;-) luv it, KawpkoonKharp _/|\_ chokdee Luv&Respect Frm SthWstSyd Australia
Thanks, chokdee to you too :)
WHAT IS PRAISEWORTHY IS MANY OF THEM USED LEAVES FOR PLATES AND PAPER BAGS. NOTEWORTHY ALSO IS THAT MANY OF THE WOMEN WERE GOOD LOOKING AND NICELY DRESSED.
In Thailand back 2,000 years ago they use bananas leave n coconut shell to make plate n spoon instead they just want to use nature not use plastic bag.
I am pretty sure, Darren - if you spent a lifetime with dedication going through all the sweets in Thailand (for scientific purposes of course), that lifetime would be abbreviated, spent mostly as obese and full of sugar related issues, such as diabetes.....no?...:-)
Yes, I believe you're right :)
Yea no more sling for ananda
Why does your wife hold your son by the arm like that?
To stop him absconding.
