Even with all the ramers GTA Online has fun races and they are exciting till the end imo. I remember when everyone played the NFS race around the map and everyone was giving their all just to win It was really fun.

Well that was the general public gta online racing experience, its more about stunts/ramming/goofing about, but theres an actual community surrounding serious clean racing, with proper tracks and drivers, nothing to do with the public lobbies. The gtaV online races dont happen as often as in the past, but there are a few groups that host racing playlists quite often (SYNC/Coop). Nowdays most people do racing in FiveM, on the "Project Homecoming" server, i recommend you to join their discord and try out FiveM Racing there ;)
He needs to see this. Maybe he can play with Broughy. Would be awesome.

I didn't know GTA V was still so alive after all these years. Honestly thought it died in 2015, when Rockstar """"fixed"""" the online use of trainers (under the guise of "making it more friendly by removing griefers", even though nobody really griefed) so they could sell more shark cards. There were literally only 10 players online at a time on European servers for a straight year afterwards, at which point I quit.

How to win in GTA Online races easily
1) Play any Burnout after 2 (with the Takedown mechanic)
2) get good at it
3) play GTA Online
4) profit
(I used to Ram literally everyone in GTA Online PS3 and it was so damn funny)

I mean depends on the groups you race with of course but in general I do agree. PH is quite fun especially the fun red vs blue or random endurance races they host but I despise the randoms lol

Do some normal street races or find someone with a good rally, street, or offroad race playlist thats not a cartoonish stunt track. GTA racing can be good if its not a stunt race, and people make some pretty sweet tracks just on the map without making a huge stunt race track in the sky.

pro tip: use first person view if ur camera is in bad spot like loops and wallrides
Your car going crazy can be due to these maps being created by hand in game which means there may be areas where the track isnt perfectly flush. So if the car hits it at a certain angle it will spin out.

My dream right now is to someday play with Kuru.
I was a master at GTAO Racing. Then curb boosting ruined everthing.
The thing about GTA racing is that it's incredibly varied. R* tracks are not all that great compared to user created ones and there's communities around all sorts of stuff. There's crews who do casual racing, some do more serious stuff with racing guidelines, some do stunts, drifts, whatever. Just need to find the right crew and suddenly you get a way different experience.
