Next time my college does karaoke, I'm doing this song. Hopefully, it'll make people feel uncomfortable doing all of their crappy, sappy radio love songs.
The companies that make karaoke versions of songs usually have to change a certain percentage of the song. Most of the time they'll change some lyrics to avoid changing the music. I would think that anyone that sings this would know the words anyways and just sing the actual lyrics.

A lot of the chords being played aren't correct either. I used to cover this song at local coffee shops and we were able to make it sound a lot more authentic than this.

Why is the intro so botched up?
Well I don't know for sure, but I think this is the original song. He just removed the track(s) that contained the vocals, and that track might have had the other sounds that you hear at the beginning.
Shane Fiek This definetly isn't any part of the original. some bits sound almost the same (obviously) but it's really not.
I meant the intro where it does the guitar effect. It sounds like the person doing the cover for this karaoke version is haphazardly scraping the guitar strings and it sounds atrocious compared to the original song.
