- Take an epic journey through the eyes of a Hmong Shaman, battling your way through evil spirits within the spirit world to reclaim the souls of the living.
I always like experimenting with traditional Hmong instruments. In this composition I used a sampled Xim Xaus and ran that through a guitar amp and got some amazing sounds. The amplified Xim Xaus sound starts at 1:41 of the track. Take a listen and let me know what you all think. Thanks for listening and have a great day/night.

Though I am a Christian... Something about the Shaman culture sparks interest in me. It amazes me and fills me with chills and goosebumps. The picture is powerful. Love the art and music. The culture itself and everything about it! ❤️
I don't think so, you are too young to know the truth behind the shaman and its spirits world. It is not something for a christian to open their spiritual door to it. Don't let the darkness enter your heart. Becareful what you wished for. "Danger"
It's good to be intrigue. Honestly, there's nothing dark or evil about the Shaman culture. I would says its the closest connection we havd to nature. Keeping an open mind. Have your belief, but feel free to explore and learn about others. You'll find there are more similarities than differences
In the end all hmong people's religious history trace back to shamanism/animistic. It isn't bad to retrace your ancestral roots.

The only communication that you've and other Christians have done are just praying to your god when you guys stated about communicating with your god. Basically, what you are telling the person was only your opinion not your experience.

by jumping on top of the shaman horse chair for pretty long
which the shaman mind will get carry with the vibe of the his drum, smoke, guardians and his *God* given voice
which travel 4 dimension into that world we cant see
while in a deep state of unconscious the brain will unlock certain part of the mind as it fear its dying
allowing the shaman to leave his body to see and communicate with the unknown entity or energy and help find a swiss solution.

A reminder that we all should be proud of where we originated from. Shamanism or Christianity, we are still Hmong. This track gave me some deep chills man, keep it up!

As a shaman, they do the bidding of a higher power, harnessing the powers from gods, elements, energies and walk into the spirit realm to defend, assist and help the living.
Though I was born into Christianity; once a Shaman looked at my hand and said you are born from the heavens to be a shaman. You have the gift of seeing the dead and walking the spirit world. I said "yep but I'm Christian and even though I can see and communicate with the dead, it's not my fate." I still love our old traditions so those that still practice, keep it up young ones.

Sounds great! The shaman theme is actually a good idea.
How about doing one with the qeej? But, have it more of a "haunting" orchestrated tone. With some choral vocals in the background. And instead of really uprising, keep it maybe a little dark. It'll be like a song foretelling the shaman journeying in between realms.

This reminds me of a dab neeg story that i heard of a sick man. He was suddenly sick and dying in bed and wouldnt wake. He dreamt that a group of people came for him took him away on a road. Suddenly they heard noises and horse hooves coming closer and very fast. The people with him screamed “they’re coming” they all jumped into the bushes beside the road and pulled him down. The noise of hooves got closer and the next thing he knew a hand grabbed him by the back collar and he was lifted into the air .... he woke up to his family and a shaman who had just finished ua neeb for him. (This gave me some pretty good visuals, i hope someone make it a movie lol)

Superb beat to this song. Reminds me of my grandpa. He passed away 2 years ago with brain anyuresm rupture. He was a shaman. He always loved to help people in any way to make sure they have a better life.

The shaman approaches and half of one blink one can reach the universe of the eternal blue sky faster than a UFO could travel, being a shaman brings one to a foot hold of holding ones roots, love your culture others are scared of going to the underworld but the shaman a man/woman who rides on a horse with its owners own power had been to hell to save the innocent and weak and back the shaman truly is the strongest, may we as Hmong hold our roosts the eternal universe and sky granted us.

But you should probably consult with someone who plays the xim xaus and maybe they can come up with something that sings about a shaman warrior. I think this xim xaus piece is singing about something else. 😊
Also, please ask your brother to do a drawing of a woman shaman for his next piece-- lots of women are rising as shamans. His work will empower and encourage us. 😊 And if you do decide to consult with a xim xaus player, have him play it about a woman shaman rescuing lives and releasing hidden souls after fights with cunning dragons. Lol. Doesn't have to go that way, but just an idea!! Keep it coming!!

The concept is great. I like it. I say when the epic music hits, cut out the flute then recontinue after it fades. Still, The concept of how this track is projected comes out fantastic. That art is also very very powerful. Who the artist. Give him/her creds. Oh it's Houa Vang. She is very very talented. Pretty beast demonstration modernized through both strong very strong artistry. Art and music.

This is the first time I actually listened to the whole song. I always heard the short part where the xim xaus starts in lots of other clips or videos and that was it.
It was kind of weird. I was listening to it while looking at the picture for a long time. And then I realized something was playing in my head like a movie. I was like wth? I saw a shaman shaking on his bench in the human world, then slowly fading to him flying on his horse in the air in the dark as the xim xaus and tswb neeb started playing.
So I put aside what I was doing, restarted the song, and closed my eyes. When the song starts/before the xim xaus starts, I see kind of like 2 dragons, or 1 white&blue dragon and 1 person. Kinda like they in love or something. All close to each other almost like they holding and caressing each other. Then again as the xim xaus and tswb neeb starts playing, there's the shaman on his bench, fading to the other side and flying on his winged horse in pitch black. Then when the drums started to play, he landed and now he was riding on his horse on land. Then when the song starts to get intense with all the flutes and extra instruments, he goes into war/battle. Then when the song calms again, it's like he found the person/thing he went to look for. But the person was still with the dragon all lovey dovey and sad that they realized it was time to go. The shaman had to persuade the person to return with him. Then the xim xaus and tswb neeb plays again, and he's back on his horse with the person all sad and shiz. Then the drums starts to play and the dragon is all sad and mad. Then the song gets intense again. The dragon runs after them. Fight between dragon and shaman. You can finish the story. Lmao.

A thought, a challenge, a suggestion. You should produce part 2, and in it, add the "dib nees"(? - probably got that incorrect, but the "brrrr" part), gong, a bit more bell, the Hmong flute. The jingling bells gives us a mystical feeling but only a brief glimpse of the Shaman. Amazing song production, love it.
