Great recipe. Like the use of buttermilk.
Quite a few ideas here - like allowing dough to rest before kneading, always covering dough with a wet napkin and best of all leaving parathas to rest for as long as 3 hours.
Very soft and silky roti, definitely worth a try.
Thank you 😊
Excellent video! The tip with acidity is genius. Also great advice on freezing as it does save time in the future for when I have a buss up shot tabanca lol

Pepper 🌶 roti next
@@joyfuloven what milk did u use sis.. Skyler stated she used buttermilk
@@rena19872007 Hi, I used full cream milk, and added the vinegar. The ratio of vinegar to milk here is not quite enough to make a rich buttermilk, but it's just perfect to soften the glutens in the flour and give you a super soft and silky roti.
I tried many recipes for paratha, but this is the best. I made it this morning. Very soft and silky. Thanks
Awesome! Thank you so much for your feedback! 🥰

@@joyfuloven I put some dough in the freezer and left it out for the 1 hour and it came out amazing.
@@Alita49 Yesss! I usually make a few loyahs extra and freeze them in ziploc bags. It's super convenient and it cooks even more flaky. 😃
Wow really? I'm gonna try this.
This is too good to be free😳😳😳
Hello from Bermuda 🇧🇲. This dough looks super moist I’m definitely going to try your vinegar/lemon juice tip. In your opinion which one works best also do you prefer one brand of flour over another ? I know sometimes that makes a difference in recipes also. Much appreciated and thank you for your recipe
Hi, great to hear from you. I'm not sure which brands you have in Bermuda, but in Trinidad I like to use Five Roses or Country Pride. Also, I usually use vinegar because I always tend to have that on hand, but the lime juice works just as well. Enjoy 😊
I want this so bad
That dough looked crazy soft. Great recipe
Thank you 😊 It was, you should try it and let me know what you think 😉
Trying this today
Yesss! Enjoy 😊

Great recipe! Never heard about using buttermilk.Like the texture. Going to try it this weekend. Can I use butter and ghee?
Thank you. Yes, you can use butter and ghee. Enjoy! 😉
Unusual addition of acid (Vinegar/lemon Juice) I will definitely attempt your recipe. I noticed there is no salt in the ingredients list? Thank you for sharing from Cape Town.
Hi, the recipe doesn’t need the addition of salt, but you can add a pinch if you like. Great to hear from you in Cape Town. Enjoy 🙏🏼😊
Hi, can you please tell me how much is the flour in grams?
I made some today for my birthday, wish there's a way I could send you a pic, you're the best, thank you.
Happy Birthday to you! Thank you for your feedback. 😊

Can u do a dhalphorie recipe please
Hi, thank you for your feedback. 😊 Yes, I definitely have dhalpuri on my list of videos coming up soon. 😊
@@joyfuloven i looking forward to that video
You make it look so effortless 💗💗…. Trying to buy all purpose flour is difficult so could I use self raising instead? …. 💗
Hi, you can try. I’m not sure if the rising agents in the flour may make the dough more sticky.
Hi Erica
I have tried your recipe three times. It's the best.
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you for the feedback! I am so happy you enjoyed it! 😊
Hi Erica , as to the liquid is it 1/34 cups if water and 3 tbsp milk?
Hi yes, 1 3/4 cups plus 3tbsp warm milk
Yuh ha dee hand...tanks for sharing....... roti comout prayers/wedding/ramyana ready...A+
Yay! Thank you
How do you keep it warm and from drying out once you've cooked it? Any tips? I'm gonna try this for a large get together and I don't want it to dry out while, I cook each one.
Hi, excellent question. I use a styrofoam roti cooler, lined firstly with kitchen towels and then roti paper or wax paper. You want the roti to touch only the wax paper so it doesn’t dry out. Then as you cook each roti place it immediately into the line cooler and keep it wrapped it tightly and covered. The steam and heat helps it soften and stay soft. 😊
girl u can cook! i recently started watching your vids. Tried your method of dhalpuri and it came out spectacular, and I am no good at kneading flour, i must say.
Awesome! Thank you for your feedback 😊🙏🏼
Looks so good. You can sell roti
Thank you 😊
@@joyfuloven I Love your recipqe Blessed Love 🙏♥️🌹🥂🏖️🌠🚗
If I skip the lard, would it make any difference in the texture and taste? If so, can the lard be substituted with vegetable shortening? I don’t eat pork.
Hi, yes you can use vegetable shortening 😊
Hey can I use lard and vegetable oil I don't have any butter . Will it still be as good?
I have never tried using vegetable oil before. You can try it and let me know how it turns out.
Did you measure and then sift or sift and then measure the flour?
Hi, I measured and then sifted.
