I am absolutely obsessed by this song. Fascinated by the fact Black Francis wrote the music apparently, closest thing we'll have to a new classic Pixies track but The Breeders definitely bring their style and make a perfect match for this tune. So happy we can hear this.
Not what you mean by new, but if you simply mean post-Deal Pixies, the song Snakes is as good as their old material, imo.
@@williambartholmey5946 Hi I just meant "an unheard recording of the original era Pixies", speaking of the vibe in the composing. There have been some hit and misses since the return to recording in the 21st century but I *really* dig some of the Pixies 2.0 songs for sure (Magdalena 318, What Goes Boom, Bagboy, Long Rider, Graveyard Hill, Catfish Kate to name some... LOVE Head Carrier as a whole album, really don't like Doggerel except Haunted House)

I've been listening to The Breeders CD in my car the past two weeks. Love Kim's voice so much! ❤ I remember when I was 23 (ish) I wanted to buy these really cool The Breeders tube socks but I was so poor, I couldn't! Now in my 50s I have the money but the socks are no longer for sale. 😅 Isn't that how things always work out?

It just goes to show that even the material on the cutting room floor in the 90s was exceptional and then the internet came along and destroyed culture irrevocably.

Dope AF. I stand enchanted, inspired and duly impressed by their superlative performance here. "Go Man Go" is electrifying, engaging apex-level Breeders and even if this track was produced in the 90's it's still time for a full-length album. Kim Deal is the ultimate bomb and this as a Breeder's highlight. So, yeah: make that sh-t for now, B.

The Breeders celebra 30 años de uno de sus discos más antológicos "Last Splash" con una canción inédita procedente de aquellas grabaciones y que se llama "Go Man Go". Para celebrar este aniversario, lanzan "Last Splash (the 30th Anniversary Original Analog Edition)", esta edición especial incluirá dos discos de vinilo, además de un disco exclusivo del mismo tamaño grabado por uno de sus lados que contiene los dos temas jamás escuchados de las sesiones originales del mítico álbum. El material fue remasterizado a partir de las cintas analógicas originales -las cuales se creían perdidas-, sacando a la luz dos canciones inéditas. Una de ellas es "Go Man Go", que la banda acaba de publicar como adelanto junto a un video oficial dirigido por Brandon Weaver de Ironwing Studios. El otro tema se titula "Divine Mascis" y es una versión de "Divine Hammer" con la voz principal de J Mascis de Dinosaur Jr.

Last night I read that this was a song Kim wrote with Black Francis. Pixies didn't use it, the Breeders recorded it for Last Splash, didn't use it, and here we are? Can anyone confirm?
