A little off topic, but what do you think the odds are that the set 1 reprint will have distinguishing marks from first print? Finally subscribed these videos are 👌🏼👌🏼
@@silaswendt1867 appreciate you and the sub! I’m uncertain tbh. I know it another games it’s there like yugioh has first edition stamps whereas reprints don’t. However I’m not sure how ffg will do it. If there’s no indicator it’ll be a shame for collection reasons
Got my playset of cunning for 60 bucks, i saw what happened with vigilance set 1 and had a hunch cunning would be the next big one, glad i was right!
good work! I was preaching double aspect like all set 1 market watches but never pulled the trigger because I'm a "budget gamer" lol. If I were to be spending I would've picked up a set of all the double aspects considering they will continue to rise in popularity with more sets coming.
Snoke going to be great next set against all the tokens compared to Avenger.
Is the same for Evacuate.
@@smcculloch that is true you probably cooking with that one. We’ll definitely have to see how prevalent tokens are in the meta or if it’s just going to be set 1 leaders 3 sets in a row 😂
@@insbn5685 I enjoy evacuate as a card just hoping for some nutty combo piece that’s like both players discard their hand and draw 2 or something along those lines to feel better about mass bouncing

Snoke is busted in qi'ra. Albeit, along side avengers in the deck
I have a ton of extra rare cards from both sets and wondering if they are best to keep or sell now before reprint
@@nigelevans9608 me personally I would hold until like the first 2 weekends of planetary qualifiers then see if anything shoots up in that time frame then sell. But some stuff like fallen lightsaber for example is already overinflated and I’d sell those unless you plan on using them.

Too expensive for a new game. Why spend this kind of money on a game that may be dead in five years? This IS fantasy flight. Their reputation isn’t good for keeping their games going. This kind of money could go towards your house instead or college or retirement.

First things first it’s a hobby so if people enjoy it then they can spend their money how they see fit.
Second not every game can have the lifespan of the big 3 but personally if I got 5 years out of this I would be more then content. I picked up battle spirits saga and that game was practically nonexistent on arrival.
At the end of the day if people are having fun playing and or collecting that’s all that matters
@@papastones I’m saying id be mad to spend this much on cards to see the game is dead in a few years, myself personally. It’s not like my mtg collection I’ve had since 94 that’s worth a lot of money
@@nickfanzo now that’s fair. I think even if the game were to die though it would maintain collection value based on the IP alone. Some cards like cunning and what not probably not but those Luke’s, Vaders, bobas etc would probably be a worthwhile investment lol
NIck gets it. FFG has horrible distribution and competitive support, which is a lifeline for a game like this. You can always print proxies and play with them, you can't print real investments.
I started collecting Magic in '94 also, played competitively for almost 20 years. I began dumping a lot of good stuff at the covid bump. The crazy leftists running Hasbro/Wizards are driving the game into the ground, hence all of the constant new products and weird IP inclusions, as they care more about getting high DEI scores for ESG funds instead of attracting/retaining players. I moved my money into the stock market and crypto. I do not regret my decision at all as my ROI has been insane compared to the cards I sold. I printed a proxy cube for drafting. My friends have also taken similar steps with their collections. Also, don't forget that having a bunch of valuable cards becomes a major liability at some point, best to diversify into other investments.
Whatever it’s worth I haven’t played a TCG since Pokemon in middle school. But I’ve been an avid collector since pre-covid years. This game pulled me back into playing. Local play, showdowns…along side collecting a complete master set 1 upon the spectacular arrival of my SDCC 2024 promos in the mail last week. I love this game, the gameplay, the collectibility, the IP.. I know there are some that wish the game were cheap.. there’s some that wish the game was more expensive. I fall somewhere on the cheap leaning side but there has to be value to make it a well rounded and long lasting game.
