- I compare two popular options of lightweight sit pads for backpacking and hiking in this short video. Both are closed-cell foam pads that fold up small and weigh next to nothing!

These are great for bikers too they act as a cushion between your packs on the bike and the bodywork to prevent damage to paint from buckles and zips.
I never knew! Thanks for the info 👍🏽
Gotta keep the tooshie happy
That’s right 😂
These are very underated items that are multi use
Absolutely!

Hey thanks for the video! I was curious. My backpack is small so I can take it on Ryanair flights. So every extra thing is already too much. Unless the purpose is important enough. Is it even comfortable to sit on? Do you really need it? In principle you could just sit at the entrance of your tent right? And when it is sunny you could sit on the grass. I am curious what you think? Thanks again!
Hi @jeroeny! I totally understand, all weight adds up so this is totally up to your preference! A sit pad is a luxury item, but one that I’ve come to really appreciate it. It is not necessary if you’re trying to cut weight, but on trips where I’ve expected wet conditions I’ve found that it’s really helpful in keeping my feet dry when getting in and out of my tent, my butt dry when taking a break, and even nice to set gear or clothing on that I don’t want getting wet or muddy. Totally your call!
My question is, where tf do you put them on your rucksack haha
Can you do reviews for sleeping pads?
Specifically closed cell cell vs air!
Oh I should! I only have two though 🤔 I’ll see what I can do
