Iv'e been watching film of him from college and he was a lot better than I thought. You can't go from his rookie year even if he was groomed to be the starter from day one most of them look terrible Elway was the worst rookie QB iv'e ever seen. You can only look at tape from college and it's pretty good he even moved around the pocket and threw on the run way more than I expected. After 20 years of futility maybe we got lucky like so many other teams have and found the guy in the 4th rd. The NFL is all about getting the ball out to the correct read on time that is the primary skill needed so the QB has to be able to process fast and Aidan is very smart so who knows. All your negativity and some of these other guys is just as silly as all the people putting in the HOF, he'll probably end up somewhere in the middle which is fine as long as it's closer to HOF than he sucks we'll be fine this year. I do see some arm talent so if he gets it he may end up being pretty good. Think about the NFL loves this kind of story 8th string walkon in college and 4th rd pick becomes a good player in the league early on after being 3rd string as a rookie it's a great story and maybe that'll give us some help with the NFL script writers (the refs) who knows.

Like Mahomes his issue in college was dumb risky throws because his team wasn't good enough to keep leads. I actually thought he was very vanilla last year and wouldn't just let it rip enough but that's all the coaching staff. He also moved around the pocket so much more and threw on the run a lot more and that surprised me. Bottom line is I think he can become a good pro the key in the NFL is getting the ball out fast to the correct read that's what made Manning and Brady so great you have to win with your decision making not really your arm talent. He seems like a smart kid so maybe we got lucky for the first time in over 20 years I hope so.
