- The Demo Of Try Honesty which was on the first Try Honesty EP
Try Honesty is an EP released by Canadian band Billy Talent in 2001. The EP was recorded and mixed by Justin Koop and Billy Talent at The Music Gym in Burlington Ontario. The artwork on the EP features black and white lettering on an all green background. This EP is very rare and sells for hundreds of dollars on eBay.[citation needed] This recording eventually gave them their credibility, allowing them to be noticed by producer Gavin Brown, in which he soon helped them finally sign them to a major label, and to explode onto the mainstream.
The Tracklist:
1. Try Honesty (Demo)
2. How It Goes (This Is How It Goes Demo)
3. Cut The Curtains (Demo)
4. Beach Balls - Hudba
This. Been looking for this version. So much better than the remastered ones
The guitar solo in this version is way better than the album's version.
its literally the same just a bit stretched out. Album was better tho because it fits more in the overall sound
@@pauluga3384 there is any entire guitar part missing from the album version
Just randomly found all these demos! :D
I preffer this one much more.
the crispy chicken guitar sound is so nice 🤘🏼 the contrast between the crunchy main riff and the rather clean, reverb heavy lick (0:18) hits me right where it needs to.. some songs made in transition between Pezz and BT1 & between BT1 and BT2 are a really great showcase for their musical journey and tone transition. Really Inspiring to make my own music and to find my own style! thanks Ian, thanks Billy Talent & THANKS BTrare and all those other CZcamsrs, making that History available for everyone ❤️ (My) Demo Tipp of the Day: Grey Daze - Drag (Chester Bennington Vocals)
kick ass i love the bass soo much mmmf to it
I remember downloading this on limewire back in the day
When I downloaded their first album, this was there as an album version. Was so dissappointed when heard the real album version for the first time. This is way better imo
same, man. limewire days
all of their demos are amazing ♥
That snare drum is tight though !
If this is so rare which it is bc I can’t seem too find it anywhere, why was it the first version I heard and listened to for the longest?? When I came back to find it the song sounded different, finally found the version I was looking for here
great version! wow, just recently stumbled across all the demoes, whole new awesomeness
Much more alternative
really?^^
ian and jon are one of the m,ost amazing guitar and bass duos i have ever heard...
AWESOMENESS.
this one is the only I know, I can't listen to the others!!
Demos > album versions
all about opinion mate, Personally, i prefer the demo versions of these songs in the BT1 album
man, i just LOVE this :D
Fuckin great song
+Barbora Vondrášková SOUHLASÍM!
sa pripájam :D
Yoloooooooo me encanta lml
It probably wasn't the decision of Billy Talent, but the record company who decided this version wasn't album appropriate.
Songs get reworked alot before release. They pumped up the energy and made it more driven in the studio. Highly doubt it was the labels decision.

fk yeah I thougt this was the original version
this fuckin solo is so fckin sweet
so much more powerful, they should of chose this version
Pezz
I like the solo so much, this version is very great, but Ian sometimes sounds a little bit weird...

Prefiero muchisimo mas la origina BILLY TALENT
@MrWuzzo their bass player is not very good...
if people could be cancelled over being wrong about bass players ten years ago you'd be in big trouble right now mister
while I disagree with who you were replying too..(sadly) Jon is far from the best bass player there is. Geddy Lee is a way better one but that's no knock on Jon :)
I don't like this one as much....
