Viaposte's Atelier PPI (small goods) sorter handles the sorting of small packages in a variety of shapes.
Created specifically for small goods, this sorter sorts small, light objects of varying shapes, which are sometimes unstable.
Their journey begins when the trucks exit the containers.
They are then placed in the tippers, which send the product directly to the injection stations.
Divided into 3 zones 📍 the 6 injection stations sort no less than 2,400 items/hour per zone.
Non-standard products are separated during injection to a special conveyor belt, which routes them separately.
From 100g to 12kg, packages pass under an OCR gantry equipped with a double-sided reader. 🔀
Double-sided reading and videocoding enable products to be routed and sorted according to several parameterized criteria. ⚙️
The 152 tilting trays direct the packs to the modular outfeeds (adaptable separations, container height and width) where they are received in MaxiBaks.
Loaded into carts and then directly into trucks, the small packages are sorted by address. 📧
Take a look at the flow from arrival on the platform to final sorting.
