Why is Saudi Arabia holding music festivals one after another and not placing sanctions on the usa? I am so disgusted by all of the msulim countries, including my own, Pakistan. Why do King Hussain and Queen Rania speak up for Palestine but still give their air space to USA? Why is it that when Syrians were being bombed (by their own Muslim leader, no less) NO MUSLIM COUNTRY decided to give them shelter BUT CANADA DID? Woe to all Muslims, we have reached such a state that countries like canada are providing shelter to oppressed Muslims instead of their own brothers and sisters :(

      @@codyduanepotter3163 first, no one is blasting anyone. Ruffalo is just being called out for his mistake, as he should be.
      Second, no one is claiming that Muslim countries are doing their fair share. Far from it. The question is about who the Muslim community should _expect_ to stand up for them. Where should we put our trust?
      You have to understand that Islam is even thicker than blood. Even if my brother is flawed and misguided, I'm going to turn to him first, expecting support. I might have to correct him and bring him up to speed, but when things go bad, I'd rather put my full reliance on my brother over some stranger who has nothing to do with me.
      The point being made is that Muslims should not be starstruck by some prominent figures from the "West" taking up their cause. Especially when those figures are so clearly indoctrinated in a non-Muslim, or even anti-Muslim paradigm, as Ruffalo let slip in his comments.
      We can still be grateful for the efforts of other groups, but our first expectations should be placed in our fellow Muslims.

      Just so you know, being queer isn't inherently sexual. For example, humans develop crushes on other humans before they even have a sex drive biologically. This means that if one feels attracted to the same sex, it doesn't have to be for sexual purposes. Some people don't even have a sex drive either. This is objective truth. Just something to think about. Despite how Muslims feel about queer people, many queer people will advocate for Palestine regardless. All Muslims could hate me and think I'm a mutant monster and I'd still wish for their peace.

    There should be support because they believe in it and it is right and there is no strings attached. But you can also believe that people should be provided the education and freedom to act in their life if they are not harming anyone. This be brought on through a democratic process and should not be forced. Both can be true at once.

    4:39 I would love to hear Mark’s opinion on “Sharia law”.
    Christian sharia [law] is very limited, and is not enough to rule a state.
    Jewish sharia [law] is more detailed than Christian’s, but it is impractical for a just society.

    also, an an add on to my earlier comment, those of us who are muslims but have seen version of the "shariah" like the taliban claim to implement in afghanistan might ahve said the same. I think we can cut the guy some slack if he has a partial worldview when it comes to this. He's still sticking his neck out to great professional disadvantage. lets not forget that. more than many muslims in the west who will never say anything at work about palestine.

    It’s so annoying for people inserting their agenda while thousands are dying in Palestine. If you ask the Palestinian, sexual freedom would be the last thing on their mind right now. Only people who don’t need to think about survival has so many time on their hands to busy themselves with problem concerning sexual orientation.

    • @heavenly2k
      @heavenly2k Před měsícem +2

      I don't see many people bringing up sexual orientation at all honestly. As a person who is not straight, I don't care what Muslims are doing in Palestine right now when it comes to queer people - we can discuss that AFTER Palestinians have basic human rights. While your idea of people "inserting agendas" in discourse seems to be exaggerated to me, I agree that debating over queer liberation is a distraction from the fact that civilians are being massacred.
      Ironically, I've seen a bunch of queer people stand up against IDF oppression without even thinking once about the fact they're standing up for a group of people who probably think they are haram. Myself included. I am much more concerned about the Islamophobic massacres done by the IDF.

    Concern for the Palestinian issue is a good thing, but it cannot be confused with other things that are against Islam.
    Caring for Palestine is a humane thing, but insulting Islamic Sharia law is a heinous thing.
    It's the time to turnback the sharia law and ummah united.
    Free Palestine and Syiria

    Search up the Constitution of Medina and you will find that the setting up a coalition and allies are allowed with Non Muslims. One main point being becuase Islam needed communication with non muslims to spread.

    Thank you for the explanation. Mark Ruffalo needs to be educated. He is truly ignorant

  • @ysha7971
    @ysha7971 Před 9 dny

    The word charia is often clichéd. The reference in the western world is to extremism ruling or laws applied in the middlie east which are outdated.
    Western societies have changed not because they were western but because their populations became more widely educated. 90% at least go to school.
    Peoples' lives have changed mainly because of economic development. A poor person does not need to be envious of others' possessions.
    He knows he can get whatever he needs by working hard. He is not doomed to steal.
    Western laws have adjusted to the evolution of the western world because individuals know what kind of state they want to live in and legal elections help them make their decisions.
    Charia was just made at different times to rule a different population.
    Unfortunately because of colonizations muslim countries have stopped their own devopments accoding to their culture.
    And western civilization does not meet their requirements in accordance with their way of life. This does not mean that muslims should live in a different world.
    The means of western development like internet, sciences, medicine and legislations or just travelling or studying abroad have changed muslim people's minds and influenced them for the better of for the worse.
    So now charia needs to get to a higher grade of justice adjusted to the new muslims. No more hands cuts, decapitations, etc. which lead nowhere and certainly does not make a society just or more human.
    Mark Ruffalo is a good guy he just lacks discernment in the words that medias tend to repeat on and on with no knowldege on the subject. Unfortunately it gets in people's minds unbeknown to them.
