The Next Gen cars are at about 190 MPH on corner entry. The unrestricted COTs did 200 on corner entry. It’s literally 10 MPH difference, nearly unnoticeable on broadcast. You can hear it in the engine RPMs, but if you just had the Next Gens turn 10,000 RPM instead of 9,000, they’d sound quite similar.
There’s something magical about hearing a single car running around Charlotte. The way the exhaust sound echoes off the walls and the stands.
Esppecially back in the day, when the engines sung so high!
