Awesome video guys, thanks! Can’t wait for snow season! This sled looks absolutely amazing!
Great work gents, there is a lot of development / tuning potential that could carry-over to VR1s and XCRs with respect to that new rear torsion setup and that eccentric front strap mount is intriguing as well.
thank you and absolutely. We have some things up our sleeve to test out this year so very excited!
I just purchased a 2018 Polaris switchback XCR 800 and I am a big guy at 280lbs. Are the stock springs sufficient for my weight or do I need stiffer springs? If so where can I find such springs because I have looked but can't find anything but stock. Thanks.
Hey Chris you reached out to the right place. So no they won’t be sufficient. You’re going to want to get new spring for the rear and you’ll want you shocks revalved (internal changes) done by South Side sales in north adams. This will get your sled riding the way It should for your weight. Any questions let me know I’m happy to help walk you through it
Could you do a comparison of that headlight compared to the night blade headlight. I noticed this year the 2024 XC lineup has the same headlight as this sled in the video. It's not the night blade headlight. I'm planning on ordering an XC next snow check and want to know what the difference in headlights are. I haven't seen the "standard led matryx" headlight info anywhere. Even a headlight comparison on a garage door would be helpful!
id have to do that once snow flies. I am unsure how different they actually are!
@@JESSEJAMES322 I know some guys weren't that impressed with the night blade headlights compared to the axys so it makes me curious! I'll think snow then!
I have the new LED headlight in my XCR, it’s half the weight of the POS night blade, and it’s brighter, much like the Axys headlight. The LED kit is $399 from Polaris, plug and play, and uses the existing headlight hardware.
@@switchback8746 thanks for the reply! That's what I was hoping to hear! Some guys on a forum I'm on were talking about it and one guy said it's way lighter, he hasn't installed the headlight to replace the nightblade yet but also said it's plug and play. So knowing it's a better headlight now I'm actually excited for the 25 xcs headlight. When I order it.
As always guys great content. Wanted to ask your thoughts on a black ice 700Lb lift for my 137 xcr 850 ya or nay?
I got to call and get my 22 XCR 650 up there for Bruce's clutching and re gear and maybe a few recalls my dealer just won't do my next sled is definitely going to be bought from Southside sales no doubt.
No one but south side sales will touch my sled suspension ever again. Sooo good. so might as well take the whole sled 4 hour drive up I know it will be worth it.
theyre the best in the game! i promise we know what we are doing and its not just smoke and mirrors! happy you're loving your suspension!
Awesome looking race sled. Next winter, come to northern New Hampshire and do some riding with us.
@JESSEJAMES322
That is an amazing place to go riding. So I have heard. I have to wait until next spring to get my sled .Because the wife and I just bought a house, and we have other things going on now. I'm that I will be able to ,my snow check order next spring.
It would be awesome to meet you all and hit the trails with you all. 😀
without a doubt! congrats on the house. im sure we have some big stuff coming for snowcheck this year!!!
Wow that's was Quick, videos flying out 👍👍👍
Is Bruce going to sell Those 18lb springs?? I found a spot to put my spring retainer, and I think you were right using the Fox qs3 for the rear track shock👍👍
so they make a softer one at 16lb that we would recommend first. well probably want to get some testing done before releasing them just so we know what to recommend
@@JESSEJAMES322You're killing it man,Best snowmobile channel on CZcams 👍👍👍
I'm curious to see this up against the new The Arctic Cat Catalyst 858! I believe it is the new King Of The Snow!
this is only a 600. would hope the 858 could beat it in a straight line but this would eat ut up everywhere else
@@JESSEJAMES322 Nope done tested out and it smokes the everything else! Cheers !
Too bad it's only available for racers.
99.9% of consumers would absolutely hate this sled which is why they don’t release It to consumers good thing is you can get a good used one after the season!
not all of them! check the Southside Site towards the end of the season. actually they have a 23 with like 300 miles on it now
Another great video boys ! Almost that time of year again. Very informative love the suspension talk. Off to the Toronto snowmobile show in the morning. Hopefully one of these 600’s is there to check out ! Cheers
Thank you! Appreciate you following along. I hope they have one there for you as well. Hope you have a good time
