    That physical demonstration was excellent! What caused the delay in the triggering of the flexible device?

      The delay was mostly caused by the polling interval which was set at maybe 5 or 10 seconds in that demo. It means that the device reads the meter at time X, then it sends that to the VTN. The VTN prepares an event, but the VEN only picks it up next time it asks for new events, which is at X + 10 seconds or something. After that, the application of the event is almost instantaneous. OpenADR also supports a mode where the VTN can "push" an event to a device, if that device is reachable through the internet, but that was not shown in this demo.

      @@stan-janssen Thanks for explaining! So theoretically it could be almost instantaneous, but in reality it would be customised based on the requirements. Great!

    Thanks for demo. One silly question about the openLEADR, can the VEN running openLEADR package be able to communicate with VTN with non openLEADR (i.e. not coded in Python)? Noting the payload of openLEADR is simplified than OpenADR.
