    Hey! I drove Theo to Halas Hall on Sunday… Yes, on Sunday. Always a good sign when a player puts in extra workouts on off days. I’m 6’6” myself, so not often I’m near someone taller, lol. Nice guy and enjoyed my conversation with him. Bear Down!

    It's good to have an O-line coach that prospects want to learn from.

    Two years ago it was noticeable that our O-line was undersized. This guy will be fun to watch, hope he makes the impact our coaching staff is expecting.

      This is one thing I’m loving about this line they’re putting together. THESE GUYS ARE HUGE. Our whole line is humongous, and extremely athletic! I always said fields made them boys look worse then how they actually played. But now we have a legitimate scary imposing offensive line!

    So far, the Bears organisation has had a phenomenal off season, I can't remember the last time they had one like this! Even Rich Eisen has said that best case scenario is Bears win the SB. Lets hope all this translates into an awesome season.

    Bears ranked #2 in run block win rate, #4 in pass block win rate, and #4 in block win rate according to advanced analytics we were pretty good we just lead the league in time until pass which made our stack and pressure rates, kind of skewed

    • @paulieprinceton4550
      @paulieprinceton4550 Před měsícem +1

      I thought it was 2nd in run block win rate and 5th in pass block win rate. Either way along with Fields 10.6% sack rate against Bagents 3.4% sack rate this past season is further illustration how bad Justin is in the pocket.

    This is a guy that a bunch of teams thought they could steal away from the CFL, bring in as a free agent and not use a draft pick on. The league rolled the dice on not drafting him and it was going to come down to who could recruit him. The Bears draft class and potential direction are what got him to come here. He's the type of kid that could actually be a hall of fame lineman who's story will be he came out of nowhere.

    A lot of people analyze the numbers when in fact, only 2 numbers matters! Those numbers are 50-50, as in percentage. Either he can play or he can't! Trust the process!

      Teams roll the dice sometimes on high risk / high reward potential and try to save a draft choice and get a steal in undrafted kids

    if 10 teams wanted them why would you put them on the practice squad he's going to get plucked right out of there

      @@DeionHarrisThe way it's set up is if a team grabs a player off of another teams practice squad he has to be kept on their 53 man roster. If they don't keep him on it the player goes back to the team he was with.

      A lot of players drop because they were injured in their last year and that keeps them from doing the workouts leading up to the draft or participating in the East West or Shrine games. Sometimes late in the draft it comes down to what position a team wants to emphasize on drafting and who they think will slide through and become UDFA's. Another player not mentioned was Richard Dent. He was drafted after the 7th round.

    • @HawksFan5884

      So what you “compete” in track & field? It’s still or a sport or athletic competition, so people are gonna say play. “Play” is just a colloquial term for partaking in a sport or competition (either professionally or nonprofessionally) that isn’t a normal day job type activity

      Tony Romo is a great example. He had multiple offers but Sean Payton won him over. I think it was down to the Cowboys and Broncos.
      Seniors that had down/injured seasons and special teams specialists are hot commodities for UDFA.
