- In this video I will show you 6 simple ideas on how to make your own notebook decor from simple materials.

For the decor of the first notebook I used thick cardboard, 2 mm thick (binding cardboard).
Cut a rectangular shape to the size of the notebook.
Since notebooks have different sizes, it showed only the thickness of some strips that can be oriented.
A cardboard rectangle was cut out on a notebook to the bend of the cover so that it could be easily opened.
I drew the details of the future door on cardboard, cut it out and stuck it on the cover.
painted all with acrylic paint.
The number on the door was created from two silicone molds from art-prosvet.

Baked polymer clay for 10 minutes and glued together.
Glued on the door.
I used a metal furniture handle to simulate a door handle.
On top I covered everything with acrylic glossy varnish.
It is advisable to apply varnish in 2-3 layers.

Pro tip from an architecture student who makes wayyyyy too many models a year ... always use an exacto and ruler over scissors for curing straight lines
Never ever have I seen someone with so much creativity...some of your diys had also popped in my mind long ago, and now I'm seeing them turning into real life notebooks. The feeling is just amazing!

It would be awesome if you could do a printable that shows the measurements and such. I made my own with inspiration from the second one, to make a leather texture by sponging. It turned out so pretty!

I especially love the concept of the door books. If you did it yourself, you could do your own door. The front door of a home gives so much character with little effort, each unique and creating its own personality. The fact so many people are isolated in their homes right now just gives it more meaning
