- Lecture by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). ISKCON is popularly known as the "Hare Krishna" movement, due to its members' widespread practice of chanting the Hare Krishna mantra in public. Srila Prabhupada intended ISKCON to facilitate the association and education of bhakti-yoga practitioners, and his followers continue to spread that mission.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977) is widely regarded as the foremost Vedic scholar, translator, and teacher of the modern era. He is especially respected as the world's most prominent contemporary authority on bhakti-yoga, devotional service to the Supreme Person, Krishna, as taught by the ancient Vedic writings of India. He is also the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
Srila Prabhupada, as he's known to his followers, translated and commented on over eighty volumes of the Vedas' most important sacred bhakti texts, including the Bhagavad-gita-a concise handbook for understanding the purpose and goal of human life-and the multi-volume Srimad-Bhagavatam-an epic biography of Krishna, Krishna's avatars, and His many devotees throughout the history of the universe.

So all plants and trees are souls who are being punished to stand up for very long time due to them being naked in previous lives? Isnt then the animals also naked by that same definition?
The punishment of animals is less than that of plants and trees. Animals can be naked just like humans can, but they don't do it out of a desire to enjoy some sense enjoyment. Animals can get shelter from the elements, but a tree can't. Human form is very rare. Out of 8 million 400 thousand species of life, only 400 thousand come in human form. We have to use this opportunity carefully. We have to pray to get out of this world of misery.
Trees can have such a long long period of "imprisonment" in that body!
We have just a limited time, and it is not guaranteed.
We need to grab the rope and get into the boat of transcendental knowledge, because otherwise we will drown in this ocean of material existence.
The more we read Prabhupada's books, the more our questions are answered.

Yes human beings have been to the moon, and as devotees we should not dwell on the apparent contradictions in Prabhupada's statements due to his time and circumstances. We should see what point he is trying to make, which is that space exploration is a scientific endeavor to find happiness in new worlds and in exploring and investigating. But still the material nature is so strict that no matter even if the scientists manage to even go as far Mars in the near future, what problems will that solve? It is simply perpetuating the same fallacy which is caused by ahankara, false ego, and aham mameti, lording it over the material nature. All such desires are simply yet another form of lust and continue to bind us rather than free us. So therefore it is not that material science is "bad" or "false", it is that it is Krishna's external energy, it belongs to Him, and we are suffering because we think that happiness comes from using matter for our pleasure. This is material existence, lust. Kama esa kroda esa raja guna samudbhava.. So it is not that we should abandon material science. But we should see it for what it is, which is that it is a sharp tool. And just like a knife in the hands of a surgeon can save lives, or in the hands of a psychopath can take lives. So similarly the knowledge of the cosmology, nature, physics, medicine, etc, should be used as a tool by qualified persons who have at least come to the human platform of life "aham brahmasmi" and then our scientific inquiry will help us towards "athato brahma jijnasa". Without such sentience, we are no better than two legged dogs, regardless of whether we can do space travel, we are just dogs flying to other planets, what is the benefit of this? This is Prabhupada's message. Hare Krishna.

YES, IF it was true, they would have arranged to remain there, why do they come back. Prabhupada's lecture is there about it.

Ppl advise two methods
1.Purify your intelligence, (soul )and good duty( karma) follows.. it comes automatically
2. Reverse, perform good duties ( karma) and intelligence ( soul) purifies . … it’s complicated because if first soul is not purified doing good duties is prevented always .
That’s why “Krishna consciousness “( already dormant Krishna awakened) is always best option.
Lord Krishna gave knowledge of Geeta before karma ( duties of war ) & not otherwise.
