- These fishing conditions are Not Recommended by me. It was a wild day fighting these barges but I held my ground and they were going around me. If they would’ve said to move I would’ve had no problem but I want to say they were enjoying watching us catch fish and felt bad to kick us out. We were drifting, trolling and Spot locking. Every time I would move we would have a right go down matter what it was even if I was sitting after one minute it was gone. Caught some bait in a creek, came out to the middle of the river, starting to drift and rods down within five minutes hahaha they were found quick

I heard at or near the mouth of Witcher creek on the Kanawha River. Immediately down stream and 45,° north west of the lower Dupont jettie is a heck of a spot

Thanks Bob, yeah, we got lucky and ran into them immediately after catching bait. They definitely wanted that baked moving for the most part although at the end of the day, we just locked up close to a giant bait ball and jogged in and out.

Hard time getting bait so we only have 4 rods out instead of our usual 8 rods and we can't even watch 4. Problems when fishing
We used it all up including the quillbacks 😂 luckily, I had brought a big skipjack also. Thanks for watching.

19 foot smoker craft. Older model, I believe 91. Gets the job done

We had four eyes going at all times, keeping a close eye on them. And they were watching us closely too. I could see it. I would move out some and give them plenty of room. It was sketchy quite a few times. Thanks for your kind words, my friend.

Absolutely not, catch and release and if anything leaves with me it’s a little one to get ate. Pay lakes have been very destructive to our river system, if we didn’t have them. We would probably be talked about more than the Tennessee river

You run mono on your 6500 if so what size
Some braid some mono. Dropped down from 40to30 on the mono just because it’s a little easier to break if I get snagged up. Ande monster. Kastking 40-50 braid
Guys if the fish is clean an can be eat please give it to a food bank
We do have regulations, and I don’t believe it’s really recommended up to a certain amount possibly. We prefer a catch and release or we may eat a couple ourselves. in order to keep a sustainable river
