Wow! What a wonderful vlog this is! Well worth many views and likes and memories in the comments! I have viewed it quite a few times now.
We did like the label "Biggles" on the plane available to be photographed in!
Referring to the segment on material dug out of the ground I used to know a gentleman in his seventies at that time who was an aviation archaeologist who may well have dug up some of what is on display here. In his seventh decade he was still digging up propellers and what-not and really enjoyed it.
That simulator looks fun - I once had access to a computer game simulator wherein I crashed many planes most spectacularly, oftimes in the sea! A good price and to be able to do it in a very special place full of the ethos of those wartime days.
The narration was very moving in relation to the teenage lads going to take part in dogfights over enemy territory. I found it moving because in the Ukraine war there are youngsters with the best short term training that can be given, then off to fight the incredible might of the Russian push. The same on the other side of course. Let us remember that in the WW2 era many people lied about their age and some were rather younger than 19 in training at a time when losses were so great. Not only men served flying planes - many brave women flew aeroplanes from the factories where they were built to the aerodromes in Norfolk and everywhere else. They were in danger facing German planes on their way to their destinations sometimes.
We hope that money can be raised for an extension hanger and hope that there is a poster about this museum at the information office and maybe a collecting box there too.
There is so much more to say but suffice it to share mine and Kris's intention to visit this unique glimpse into the spirit that made it possible for us to live in a free country.
We thank you for this informative and useful vlog!

After watching your very enjoyable video my friend and I visited Hanger 42 today (Monday 15th July) and spent a lovely couple of hours there. The exhibits are really interesting and the volunteers are very warm, friendly and extremelyl knowledgeable. We'll definitely pay another visit some time in the future. Well worth a visit so thank you Jane. You are doing a great job promoting our local attractions.

Wonderful place to visit. The volunteers are all very knowledgeable but best of all they take time to answer children's questions in full.

Awesome Jane. Thank you. I didn't know this existed. Down next month so going to visit. My ex's cousin is an airline pilot and a QFI. He's flown a Spitfire. Jammy sod! I tried to get my PPL, but I only done about 20 hours. Got too expensive. £140? I'm in. She who must be obeyed might divorce me, but worth the risk. Love the Messerschmitt 109. It seems that they were very similar. Warplanes, but times must. Messerschsmitt also made bubble cars. Over and out. x

What a interesting place to visit, my father was in the army and he done some of his training in Blackpool in 1941-42 he was a late joining so he volunteered to join because he worked on the railways its a long story, so I wonder if the Army had a base near here as well! Nice one Jane I enjoyed this video, Thank You...

To my knowledge there were firing ranges and army barracks too - lots of them were in the Fleetwood area

All those machines, during WW2, would've been maintained by REME.
