Screamed my everything out to this number in March 09th 2019 at the Palace. Didn't think I'd have a voice the next day!

March 9, 2019 he and Mike were actually at the Beacon Theatre in NYC the day after Micky’s 74th birthday. I was at that concert.

Christine C Hell YEAH! Been a fan of the Monkees since the ripe old age of 5 in 1969 and they're still with me today. I know that guys get flak and a fair bit of ribbing for being Monkess fans, but I've held fast and always loved the show and the music for being the fun show it was and having the great music that it did. Rock on. boys!

I was there and also at the aftershow party.
I said to Micky that I thought the sound was too low.
BROKE MY HEART when he wouldn't talk to me just for saying that.
A 47 year hero bubble burst in an instant................ :( :(

Don't worry about it, it's a typical low self esteem thing for musicans when they can't take constructive criticism. Remember, they haven't played for years and years. And after all, you didn't say they performed bad or anything?
If anything, it's the sound guy's fault for making the audience mix too low in volume. The recorded volume on this video sounds good. So it wasn't the bad that was at fault.
I once told a musician that I thought his newest album sounded shallow and uninspired.. Now that hit him personally! :D But then again, if you wan't to be a musician, you've gotta be able to handle rejection and negative comments. That's what makes you better and produce better art. Can't have yes-men around you all the time.

joyce cattanach I'm definitely not taking anyone's side's here just looking at it in my own opinion. It seems like since Davy passed away micky hasn't been the same emotionally along with getting older. So maybe he was having an off moment like we all do as humans at times. I know I have been different inside when my best and true friend passes suddenly Especially grieving. I met micky once before Davy passed and he was the nicest down to earth type of person. Just my own opinion like I said.

@@MrKennyBones I thought the same, Kenny. So much goes into a performance, so much AV, so many people involved, so many venue requirements. (In town for one night only, I once saw Torvill and Dean iceskate at the G.W. Forum in L.A. Our unchangeable seats were to their backs and behind a pillar.) Don't know of course this situation, but on several occasions (uploaded to CZcams) Micky has appeared in interview to be hearing impaired.
Also, many musician's while performing rely on an "in-ear earpiece or monitor" (IEM) which help protect what hearing they do have, better monitor - that is hear themselves and their band, also to keep time (with a click-track) . They're not used all the time. It would be a shame if a hearing problem contributed to Joyce's sour experience.

I would love to see them in concert. I never have, even with just the three that are left. I'm always surprised however that since they reunited in the first time in the 80's that when they do this song they do the Paul Revere and the Raiders arrangement for the chord walk down which they never recorded. I'm not complaining, I like this arrangement better.
