That necklace is so amazing! The leaf fabric is gorgeous. Can't believe you just casually make jeans haha - they seem like such a challenging project.
Thank you for your comment, I really like the necklace too. Jeans are not as complicated as you might think. Just quite a few different steps. Tricky techniques like the fly/zip can always be practiced on scraps first 😊

Hi Amelia, love your shorts! I have just finished a Patina blouse in a very busy fabric and you gave me the idea of making the collar stand out with your ric rac, but I piped mine in one of the darker colours with a very narrow piping and I love it. Such a pretty blouse. Looking forward to seeing how you put the waistband on the ultimate trousers. A lovely staple in anyone’s wardrobe and I used stretch cotton for mine so it’s super comfortable! Great makes and ideas as usual Amelia, happy sewing!

Lovely fabrics and makes! Thank you for holding the fabrics nice and still when showing them. Too many people sort of wave the fabrics around when showing them, maybe to demonstrate how they drape(?) but it makes it impossible to see the design of the fabrics, which is so frustrating and even is hard on my eyes. I MUCH prefer your technique. 🩷

I love the style of the jeans pattern.When you changed the waistband from a straight to a curve did you have to re cut the top of the trousers? Love the leaf fabric,it would look gorgeous as a dress. The shorts look beautiful and the style is flattering.
Thank you for your comment, I did not adjust the top too the pattern for the jeans, just cut the curved waistband and added it to the existing pattern. I did toile it first though. So I would suggest that if anyone else wanted to try it out 😊
