    I remember being very lucky to have the great Ned Power from Waterford giving me a few pointers and one of his main nuggets was exactly like what Brendan is saying here. " You have to emulate the movement of a Crab. You barely lift your feet of the turf , this allows you quickly to plant your feet to commit to the save or whatever movement to take care of the on coming danger. I saw a county goalkeeper recently just before the forward took the penalty, he was hopping on the ground with the feet 4-6 Inches of the ground. He hadn't a chance. The ball hit the net before his feet landed solid.
