@@IgnoretheButter oh yeah man, you'd hear it. I'm certain that its an allegory for the fact that even though we do grow and make believe seems to go away, so long as the christmas spirit remains, you still get the joy - or as the movie depicts it, you still hear the bell.

I don’t care about the criticism that this movie gets for being “creepy” this was one of the first movies I saw in the theaters back in 2004 and it’s one of those Christmas movies I love to watch every season. This song gIves me such a good feeling. This is why Alan Silvestri is one of my favorite composers
This is amazing. A girl whose always known Christmas, and a boy who can't afford one. Both relating to the fact that Christmas will still come. Even if one of them knows they will probably not have one. This makes it so much worth it when he sees his present under the tree in the end.
You described it beautifully! A lot of people say that the girl is invalidating the boy's sad background by singing about how much she loves Christmas, and I can somewhat understand why they would say that. But that's not what's happening. After hearing his perspective, the girl is simply explaining what Christmas has always been like for her, trying to give the boy an idea of that special time of year, and letting him know that it may finally come to him this time. It's a very beautiful song.

1. I have a son now whom i can share my family traditions with
2. I an now happily engaged to a man who may not be the father biologically, but has made a great addition to the family

I watched this film when I was 8. It was 14 years ago, now I'm 22. I have boyfriend, 4 cats, home and loving family. And still I won't be able to feel Christmas like when I was a child. Still love this touchable song. Should save it to my playlist "melancholic tunes to feel myself alive"
I was about four years old, when I watched Polar Express for the first time. This song brings back so many memories from my early childhood. Watching this movie never gets old.
I was only two when it came out and I have faint memory of it. After rewatching it in 2022 and 2023, I loved it
every christmas eve my family and i have a christmas eve dinner, go looking at christmas lights, and then we come home and watch the polar express. we do it every single year even though my parents are now in their 50's, i'm 20, my sister's 18, and my brother's 16. it's our tradition ☺️❤️🎄
There you go! Nothing wrong with good memories. You are very blessed to still have your family. My mom died when I was 13, my dad died when I was 25, and my brother died when I was 37. I still have my sister thank God, but she is a long ways from me. We still FaceTime and chat on the phone once in a while.

My older sister gifted this movie to me about two years ago. And it remains to be my favorite movie of all time. I grew up with it... This simple but yet touching melody brings me back to those glorious days before she unexpectedly left us. RIP Avery Anderson, a great friend gone too soon.
