Not really. Linux mint is literally a linux with no complexities. Its even cleaner and simpler than windows while also providing all the functionality of linux

You have live captions, touchpad gestures, decent settings app, standarized program manager which can manage all installed programs no matter from where u install. Now there's linux mint. No live captions, no touchpad gesture as good as windows (tried fusuma but its still gonna take longer to fully develop), no standarized program manager (mint uses anything as excutable sh, bin, packages, and it uses apt as package manager, what if I install through flatpak, snap, appimage and i forgot, lol i actually dont have any sense at where the programs at),, and for the final thing, mint looks absolutely horrible. Idk but cinnamon de? really? over windows fluent dekstop? they could use hyprland but nah. Mint absolutely looks horrendous.

I mean if you are enjoying web development, you will always make better websites than an AI, and AI writes horribly performing code on a large scale so your website is probably gonna load faster too. But if you are demotivated, then your primary goal is probably to get a job asap rather than enjoying it soooo, maybe change space? I personally suggest getting a good understanding of a systems lvl language like C/C++ or even better Rust. It will help you a bunch!

just a correction, we can play games on Linux natively using proton and wine. most of the games can be played, just few games can't be played like valorant coz its multiplayer game, all story line games can be played and some games run better than windows.

I haven't watched the complete video yet, so i bought a Laptop like 3-4 years ago, solely for gaming, web browsing and learning computer, and i think, windows never let me do that peacefully, they keep changing my settings, always reducing my performance for some unknown reason, there's useless updates every 3 days, and keep taking my wifi away, it may or may not be due to windows , so im thinking to install some clean Linux OS with an expectation to have my issues resolved, should i go ahead and will i be able to get windows back?
remember some points 1. Linux is not hard but you need very very very high level of patience 2. You need to backup your data properly 3. you would have to reinstall windows completely if you want to switch back later 4. Learning linux may take significant time depending upon the distribution
You think he can teach you machine learning... Learn that from a professor or someone in that field it requires maths and research times. If you can't find any of these then atleast buy a book
I'm a developer, started with WIndows XP in 2008. In 2023 migrated to dual boot with POP-OS (Debian based) Linux OS. Still have windows 10 as dual boot but now full time using Linux. Still not sure which Linux Distro I should be using, any suggestions ?

There's one limitation with Linux system is that some of the important softwares doesn't support on Linux like ms teams, special when connecting for a video call. Also, multiple Linux supported softwares doesn't provide all features available in windows version of it, e.g. Zoom which doesn't support virtual background in PoP OS , DEBIAN BASED OS.
I use a Dell laptop(2018) with Ubuntu and Windows 10 on an old desktop. Nowadays, I'm mostly using Ubuntu because it just feels faster and runs extremely well (my desktop is low-end).

If you are a developer, then work on all thrice of them as some softwares are for windows and some are for Linux and also some are for MACos ... So you must shift to these os if you want to create. An app for each of them that might work efficiently...

Windows 10 use karta hu kyunki mera laptop i3 7th gen hai to windows 11 install nahi ho sakta hai. 7 saal se chal raha hai hi ab bhi zyada problem nahi hai.Sirf maine ssd aur ram badla hai. Waise bhi maximum kaam tablet (Oppo pad air) par hi kar leta hu kyunki study purpose ke liye tab hi mere liye zyada suitable hai.

Another advice.. we can use both windows and Linux on a same machine.. you can do a dual boot.. I personally use Linux as my daily driver and windows when I want to play games and to use software which is not made for linux

Umm... You should decide where do you want to head in CS. It's a very broad term. We have web development, embedded system development, Algorithm designing, Researching, Machine learning, Game development, etc. They all work differently tho, For game dev, you can purchase a gaming laptop, for ML a mac is recommended

I personally don't believe there's any good reason for a person to get mac over Linux unless they are a complete beginner. Windows is in a different league of it's own, literally no one can compete with the utility and practicality of windows. Somewhere it felt like Harry was trying to say "Paisa Kam ha to Windows lo, Jada Paisa ha to mac lo". I would like to say, don't fall into this misconception. Mac is very user friendly, and if you wanna gift a laptop to ur mum, or you wanna primarily work on a laptop, mac software is very optimised to work on their proprietary hardware, i.e. mac has unbeatable battery life and energy efficiency. If you are going to be using ur laptop for work and not gaming primarily, Mac is always going to save you more money on the long run. A mac will last you longer, will need less repairs and so on. If you are on a tight budget but you wanna start working as a graphic designer for say, I suggest you try to at least get a second hand mac cause trust me, you'll thank yourself later. On the desktop space though, Mac literally doesn't even come close to the flexibility or power windows can provide... Companies like Realtake, Nvidia, AMD optimise their hardware and drivers to work well with windows. It has massive application support, supports basically all file systems, is going to be waaayy more customizable compared to mac, and does come at a resource cost though. Windows pc is always going to be a significantly better value for money if you DIY build your pc(which I recommend to everyone planning to buy a PC cause it's legit not hard at all.) And windows is simply going to be a faster system overall. Windows is going to be the more snappier system given the right hardware. Windows can support hardware mac can't even fathom. Linux on the other hand is a bit complicated. Linux is open source and heavily community driven. Linux can be anything you want it to be. Among all 3 of these, Linux is a most customizable and with the right customisation, Linux is overall just better than both Windows and Mac. These two can't even come close to comparing with the flexibility of Linux. (Windows is still the king of gaming space though so if you are a game, don't even think twice. Get windows since most pc ports of games are made native to windows. Yes Linux can run them through emulation layers like Wine but the performance overhead is just not worth it.) Linux take a while to get used to. And in order to utilise Linux fully, you need to know your stuff as Linux people mostly have the "fix your own problems" kind of mentality. That doesn't mean no one will help you but you'd be much better off having a good understanding of your system and how computers work first. I personally have a desktop which I daily drive for gaming and productivity. I duel boot into it, with windows 11 and (I use Arch btw~). I mostly used my Arch system for basic tasks d coding cause I just have customised my Arch system to be just the way I like it and now I'm most productive in it. I use windows only when I need to play games (you can't play Valorant in Linux/mac). I also have used a mac air before for portability as my side driver and I enjoyed it. Highly recommended but I eventually decided to switch to an Asus Zenbook Oled. I have Arch installed and set up on it too and I personally like it better than mac cause I can customise how Arch works while Apple doesn't let me tinker at all. So in conclusion, if you have a desktop, Windows is always the 1st priority. Don't even think about mac, it's just pointless and not worth it and a waste of money. If you wanna be on a laptop, you should avoid windows at all costs because as I mentioned before, windows is very powerful hungry and does weird stuff like not going into deep sleep when you close a lid and stuff. Basically, it will drain your battery before you even realise what happened. Mac, go for a mac, it's always better utility wise, performance wise (Mac is Unix based so it works better on lower end hardware, so less power consumption and less heating issues.) But if you are confident in your computer knowledge, well then you wouldn't be reading this comment but Linux is jus superior. Arch will just work if you can make it work.
I have been using mac for 2 years as a web developer , working on SaaS based products and according to my experience : I HATE MAC . Asked my company to provide me either a linux machine or windows . Ultimately got a window and it's great as you all know ❤ Installed WSL but hardly use it . Altogether happy with windows and Linux 🎉
I use windows 10 and Linux mint in my PC. I was a windows guy but now starting to understand how powerful linux is. Linux is so stable and Linux mint is beginner friendly as well. I am more inclined toward linux these days.

Gaming can be done on linux via using steam proton easily but you might have to do some tweaks to get it work but gaming experience is not that bad on linux i have been playing gta 5, gta 4, resident evil 7,8 skyrim and many other windows titles in linux smoothly via steam proton.

Could someone help me clear a doubt? I haven't watched the complete video yet, so i bought a Laptop like 3-4 years ago, solely for gaming, web browsing and learning computer, and i think, windows never let me do that peacefully, they keep changing my settings, always reducing my performance for some unknown reason, there's useless updates every 3 days, and keep taking my wifi away, it may or may not be due to windows , so im thinking to install some clean Linux OS with an expectation to have my issues resolved, should i go ahead and will i be able to get windows back?
remember some points
1. Linux is not hard but you need very very very high level of patience
2. You need to backup your data properly
3. you would have to reinstall windows completely if you want to switch back later
4. Learning linux may take significant time depending upon the distribution

I'm a developer, started with WIndows XP in 2008. In 2023 migrated to dual boot with POP-OS (Debian based) Linux OS. Still have windows 10 as dual boot but now full time using Linux.
Still not sure which Linux Distro I should be using, any suggestions ?
try fedora its a good balance between rolling release distro like Arch and stable and well tested updates like debian.

There's one limitation with Linux system is that some of the important softwares doesn't support on Linux like ms teams, special when connecting for a video call.
Also, multiple Linux supported softwares doesn't provide all features available in windows version of it, e.g. Zoom which doesn't support virtual background in PoP OS , DEBIAN BASED OS.
I use a Dell laptop(2018) with Ubuntu and Windows 10 on an old desktop. Nowadays, I'm mostly using Ubuntu because it just feels faster and runs extremely well (my desktop is low-end).

I personally don't believe there's any good reason for a person to get mac over Linux unless they are a complete beginner.
Windows is in a different league of it's own, literally no one can compete with the utility and practicality of windows.
Somewhere it felt like Harry was trying to say "Paisa Kam ha to Windows lo, Jada Paisa ha to mac lo". I would like to say, don't fall into this misconception. Mac is very user friendly, and if you wanna gift a laptop to ur mum, or you wanna primarily work on a laptop, mac software is very optimised to work on their proprietary hardware, i.e. mac has unbeatable battery life and energy efficiency. If you are going to be using ur laptop for work and not gaming primarily, Mac is always going to save you more money on the long run. A mac will last you longer, will need less repairs and so on. If you are on a tight budget but you wanna start working as a graphic designer for say, I suggest you try to at least get a second hand mac cause trust me, you'll thank yourself later.
On the desktop space though, Mac literally doesn't even come close to the flexibility or power windows can provide... Companies like Realtake, Nvidia, AMD optimise their hardware and drivers to work well with windows. It has massive application support, supports basically all file systems, is going to be waaayy more customizable compared to mac, and does come at a resource cost though. Windows pc is always going to be a significantly better value for money if you DIY build your pc(which I recommend to everyone planning to buy a PC cause it's legit not hard at all.)
And windows is simply going to be a faster system overall. Windows is going to be the more snappier system given the right hardware. Windows can support hardware mac can't even fathom.
Linux on the other hand is a bit complicated. Linux is open source and heavily community driven. Linux can be anything you want it to be. Among all 3 of these, Linux is a most customizable and with the right customisation, Linux is overall just better than both Windows and Mac. These two can't even come close to comparing with the flexibility of Linux. (Windows is still the king of gaming space though so if you are a game, don't even think twice. Get windows since most pc ports of games are made native to windows. Yes Linux can run them through emulation layers like Wine but the performance overhead is just not worth it.)
Linux take a while to get used to. And in order to utilise Linux fully, you need to know your stuff as Linux people mostly have the "fix your own problems" kind of mentality. That doesn't mean no one will help you but you'd be much better off having a good understanding of your system and how computers work first.
I personally have a desktop which I daily drive for gaming and productivity. I duel boot into it, with windows 11 and (I use Arch btw~). I mostly used my Arch system for basic tasks d coding cause I just have customised my Arch system to be just the way I like it and now I'm most productive in it. I use windows only when I need to play games (you can't play Valorant in Linux/mac). I also have used a mac air before for portability as my side driver and I enjoyed it. Highly recommended but I eventually decided to switch to an Asus Zenbook Oled. I have Arch installed and set up on it too and I personally like it better than mac cause I can customise how Arch works while Apple doesn't let me tinker at all.
So in conclusion, if you have a desktop, Windows is always the 1st priority. Don't even think about mac, it's just pointless and not worth it and a waste of money. If you wanna be on a laptop, you should avoid windows at all costs because as I mentioned before, windows is very powerful hungry and does weird stuff like not going into deep sleep when you close a lid and stuff. Basically, it will drain your battery before you even realise what happened. Mac, go for a mac, it's always better utility wise, performance wise (Mac is Unix based so it works better on lower end hardware, so less power consumption and less heating issues.)
But if you are confident in your computer knowledge, well then you wouldn't be reading this comment but Linux is jus superior. Arch will just work if you can make it work.

Gaming can be done on linux via using steam proton easily but you might have to do some tweaks to get it work but gaming experience is not that bad on linux i have been playing gta 5, gta 4, resident evil 7,8 skyrim and many other windows titles in linux smoothly via steam proton.
