I am not Brazilian but this heat was just weird from the judges. Filipes 7.83 first seemed overscored but then Jacks last wave was even more overscored… definitely not the Final everyone wished for

Biggest disappointment is wave quality. I thought G-Land would be way more epic. Congrats to Jack. He earned this win.
@@kayhaus1the wave quality was good, but the camera work was horrible in all the heats. Check out the drone fottage, you can see how good of a wave it is.

OK. Enough. The judges should not know what score is required for a surfer to advance/win. They need to judge each wave 100% based on that wave and no other external factors.
Fuck yes, don’t show judges the average score. Let ‘em log their scores without replays and comparisons and that’s it … if they don’t know each average wave score or current totals they can’t interfere.
If you watch 'make or break' you really see how bullshit the judging is

Mas teve várias baterias em que os Brasileiros competiram e teve notas para os adversários muito acima do que realmente eram... Para mim teve um boicote sútil aos brasileiros principalmente na primeira onda nas baterias dos adversários quando o mar estava com poucas ondas e demorado que saiam com notas altas sem serem reais de fato!!!

3 huge turns?? Not a chance. Carve, decent turn, then the money turn. Jack had three solid turns, with a strong finish. He’s delivered when he needed to most
Truth is it was super even. I enjoyed Filipes wave more. But I guess Jack got a better back up score.

Jack Robo deserves a World Title…but an honest one. It’s was a 6 max. We all see through what’s going on with WSL. Lame but I’ll still watch it
Why would you bother watching WSL events if you believe the judging is dishonest and rigged? Surely there are better ways to spend your time. Surfing has become just like every other sport in the world with fans crying about judges/referees and making ludicrous conspiracy theories.
The scoring on that last wave was a joke to say the least...I like J. Robbinson, but that last wave wasn't nearly enough!

Great performance but what a shame for the conditions with all due respect to
G-Land but we wanted those draining tubes the Classic G- Land conditions.
Why is WSL broadcasting in 720 and then upscaling it to 1080. The quality this season is really poor for the video stream for some reason.

The judges should not know what score a surfer needs to advance/win. This happens almost every comp. 🤦🏽♂️

I Love and adore both of this guys surfing but this has to be in the list of most boring finals ever medina and jadson's heat was even more entertaining.
Robinson killed that last wave. Bring bk the three wave format for more separation.

Unfortunately one more time the judges found their way to give a little extra score against Brazilian. You don’t need be Brazilian to realize that Brazilian surfer currently are the ones pushing the sport to another level unfortunately nobody has been able to catch up with them not even JJF so, judges are the ones for the pass 4 years trying to stop the unstable Brazilian storm.
In my opinion G-Land 2022 Felipe was the champion. Robinson is a great surfer but clearly Felipe surfed better today.
Last wave was probably more of a 6.75 then a 7. Definitely a toss up heat.
Ainda cortaram a primeira manobra do 7.83 no replay, ridículo! E comparando os dois 5.33 de cada um, não tem como, a onda do Filipe foi muito melhor, era mais próximo ao 6,50 do Jack.

Já que a WSL está disposta a mudanças poderia mudar a forma de julgamento , fazendo com que os juízes NÃO tivessem acesso ao somatório de notas das baterias durante a sua realização.. E dando estas notas injustas e alterando toda a história da competição , que a meu ver está sendo uma escolha dos juízes e NÃO méritos da Vitória dos surfista . SE NÓS DE FORA FICAMOS DESMOTIVASOS EM ASSISTIR ISSO , IMAGINA QUEM ESTÁ LÁ NA LUTA !

Last wave of Robinson is good as 3 turns backhand but it not enough for 7.00 points, I think about 6 or 6.5 points was fair.
That wave was smaller than Filipe's 5.33 and all his turns much less critical. Filipe's last turn with that insane finthrow at the back by it self could be a 9. Hahahahha Kidding, but Jacks 3 turns were worth that single vertical fin throw from Filipe. This judging is ridiculous.

The WSL are creating a story and selling a brand directed at non - surfers. Look at Jacks face when he realises he’s won … he didn’t get the score, he was given the score. This whole event was a disappointment - I was excited for it coming up, and the anticipation was as if it was going to be held at Desert Point. Hope El Salvador comes through, but I'm not a big fan of La Libertad either - there are some better waves in El Sal, which I won't mention on the internet
The whole event was a joke!!!They should had waited for better conditions, going to this part of the world and surf in this conditions is ridiculous. Hope next events are worth watching cos the WSL is losing credibility.
G land (surfed it since 1991) is better than anywhere in Central America, surfed them all. This is the worst l have ever seen G land, winds are usually always off shore in dry season but no matter the place, it can be off. BTW, during this contest period, everywhere in Indo was total crap. It will be pumping soon, WSL didn't extend contest window, that's the problem

Terrible scoring WSL. Even someone like me who started watching professional surfing contests this year can tell the scoring doesn’t make any sense.
Jack of Spades is on fire he's a one man riot. Big ups to Champ on the come up and going strong.
But there were several heats in which the Brazilians competed and there were scores for the opponents far above what they really were... For me there was a subtle boycott of the Brazilians, especially in the first wave in the opponents' heats when the sea was with few waves and it took a long time that leave with high notes without being real in fact!!!

na minha opiniao , mais uma vez os juizes roubaram o vencedor , quem venceu claramente foi o felipe toledo , a ultima onda do JR dando a virada , foi um insulto . enfim, o circuito continua com sua mediocridade , free surf esta muito mais interessante , com esses juizes e formato de campeonato , o circuito com certeza esta perdendo . em tempo sou fa do surf do toledo e do australiano JR , que na realidade e o primeiro australiano que merece disputar um campeonato mundial , os outros que estavam ai , dracula, wilkinson , eram pura invencao australiana , JR nao, de fato esse cara tem surf , mas ele perdeu sua bateria claramente para o toledo
