- Sorry about my raspy voice, I'm getting over from being sick as you can see all the pollen flying into the garage.

Love your review, you touched on some nice details no one else has mentioned. Appreciate it.
@@Deejay_P_Phunk thanks! I'll be posting an update soon.
On the rev i hate the power cord, headphone cue knob, and most of all the fact the utility software dont save my custom effects and i have to reset them every time. The Rane is too heavy and I prefer the pads in battle mode like the Rev.
Bro keep it up, this is the best comparison video I've seen yet. You gave some serious insight between the two. Please gives us an update on that Performer crossfader oil later and if it's as like to the Magvel one! Also, how do these compare to the XZ crossfader in your eyes?
The stop start of the track was a huge factor of me to not to get the REV 7 (along with no dedicated stems, 4-channel capabilities lol). IMO, Performer really will be for the next 5 years & gotta be now the most truest open-format controller with its combo scratching and EDM club styles (w/ motors off). Digging the Pro X mobile case. I plan to getting something like or just like that too. How stable/still is the table/case when you scratch on it?
If pioneer has an equivalent Performer, like a motorized FLX-10 (or a better 4 channel REV10) with RK/Serato support? Better stems button support? Oh and a dedicated beat jumping option? I'm sold tbh
Thanks for the comment! The XZ is definitely a way different crossfader than the REV7 and Performer. I wouldn't say it's a scratch fader, yet there are dj's that use it for scratching.
The table is stable enough for scratching. I usually use a 4ft table and worked great on the REV7.
I agree about a REV7 upgrade. Hopefully pioneer will have an answer to this in the future.
Very good review pal.
Great Review! Thank You. RANE FTW!
Thank you!
Very good video! Where can I buy stickers for the Pioneer Rev 7 stems?
I have the 7 and love it. But i have the same issue as you with the "give" inside the platter. It comes from a little gap between the plastic clip area and the piece it clips to. I put black tape the stop the issue. Also I use dual pad mode and have my 4 stem echo pads under my cue pads.
Great tip with the tape! How many pieces do you need to stick on?
Man I really wish the Performer was battle style like 2 Rane 12s and a mixer. That is my only complaint.
Denon is coming!!!😂
Denon is wack and overrated
Thank you
does rev7 have integrated stems like rane?
Rane 🔥
Basically - Pioneer need to put motors on the Opus Qaud and improve the build qaulity/design then its all done. Couple more years I guess. I like the fact rekordbox usb work with rev7 laptop though.
With the motors switched off you can absolutely use the platter as a pitch bend but you can't scrub
@@mikesterloc yes! I noticed that using it at this weekends gigs.
What's the difference in sound quality between the two of them? Which do you feel sounds better?
@@javiriskone rane for sure. It doesn't limit or distort sound easily like the Rev 7
Thank you for sharing.@@djsupafly1
for the rane performer, can you turn the motor off for mixing on the left deck, and turn the motor on for scratching on the right deck and vise versa?
I am not sure. I'll have to try that this weekend
Yes you can. I’m using it as my main controller right now. All you do is hold shift and slip.
@@dabigtime thats pretty cool man
The Rane does have Sensitivity controll on the fader.
@@ddjdynomike it's a software setting in the pioneer utility to allow sharpness of cut-in time, not the same setting as towards setting the contour or cut-in time.
What do you use 4 channel for by the way?
Cue up more songs and using a channel for an external device.
can u fit the rane controller into the pioneer case?
No, it is too wide
Not keen on those cases , so I've made my own two sheets of acrylic & light pine wood they lack the space of those cases but much brighter which goes with my bright flat . Not looking to take it places so don't need space .
There is an Acapella/instrumental button actually. It’s the parameter left and right buttons
They're not"dedicated" buttons... It's a secondary midi mapping... Most Serato controllers and mixers with pads have that functionality... And it works well but still not dedicated
@@UONeal right. But to fair Djay and virtual DJ has better stems
@@bboymac84 better is subjective... Certain songs sound better in the different softwares... Serato, DJay Pro and VDJ are all pretty even (Rekordbox has a long way to go lol) as far as stems go... It's just whatever softwares the user prefers and is most comfortable with... I'm not really sure what this has to do with dedicated stems buttons though lol
@@UONeal the hardware is Serato dedicated but VDJ and Djay are simply better. There are videos proving this
Yet DJ Ease is killing it on the rane performer 🤷🏾♂️
Pioneer is plastic. End of comparation
