- At the time of uploading, Sullivan Buses would've ceased operations on their London & TFL service routes. The bus company decided to shut down their South Mimms [SM] Garage and go Commercial (NON-TFL) from their North Mymms Garage. This resulted in routes 327, 605, 606, 617 & 629 going to Metroline - 640 already set to go to Metroline anyways. The 299, 389 & 399 went to Go Ahead London ahead of their contract date alongside the 298 to Uno. Soon to be withdrawn route 549 went to Stagecoach London with the W9. Rail Replacement routes 718 & 720 went to Ensignbus & RATP respectively. Then Arriva took this route.
The 217 is operated by Arriva London using Enviro 400 Tridents from Tottenham [AR] Garage. The route is rather nice as it predominately passes through the A10 Dual Carriageway, indirectly serving tube stations along the way. It goes from Turnpike Lane, Wood Green, Tottenham, Edmonton, Bus Hill Park, Enfield & Waltham Cross. I enjoyed filming this considering the fact that I did not know that 3 days after, Sullivan Buses were going to sadly go. I am glad that I filmed this when I did. It's not everyday that I am in Enfield. I wanted an Enviro400MMC, but an Enviro400 came and with the frequency the 217 is, I just decided to get this done. Who even knows where these buses are now???
I had a nice driver, he was quite fast and he waved at the end. The 231 bus driver slowed us down which was quite annoying. The rear door of this bus was broken, so everyone had to board and alight from the front lol. So, "Heo Lane" is actually: tfl.gov.uk/bus...
MY RESPONSE TO THE CESSATION: Transport For London were not appreciative of Sullivan Buses operations in London at all. Whenever their train services we shut down, guess who was there to help??? Sullivan Buses!
Like them or hate them, they carried London. So it was disappointing for TFL to turn round to Dean Sullivan and tell him that his company is an "unwelcome operator". They owe SB £130,000 and they wanted to pay the company in "instalment's", intentionally bullying them out since they knew that they were a small company that was struggling during covid. However, if this was another large bus company in London, I do think that it would be "paid in full."
Yes they had reliability issues, times where their buses wouldn't track and so forth, but I don't think London Transport would be where they are without them at all.

Why did Sullivan buses withdraw from TFL?
According to Sullivan in a recent meeting with TfL they were clearly unwelcome in London
Thank You Very Much! TFL owed them £130K+ that they refused to pay back, but only in instalments (bit by bit).
And they stated that SB are an unwelcome operator in London, just as @waffelzs said.
They didn't have the funds to continue so that's why, due to the constant fines by TFL through ULEZ and stuff.
Sad how sullivian get kicked out. The enviro 400’s were great! However, (i know its a small company) they could of atleast gotten some hybrid’s so this wouldnt happen
