My first memories of life were in Downers Grove off of Lee Avenue! Moved away when I was six. It was a magical place for me as a child. I remember the old train station. We would drop my Dad there and he would commute to Chicago. That was 1956-60. So glad they kept it up! I loved that town.

I prefer quaint charm, nature, serenity, but within reach of Chicago if I want "vibrant"; so Downer's Grove between the two.
Nice of you to do this. Suburbs generally are an inferior way of living; shuffle then as you like.
