Adapt to a lifestyle, be thrifty, set a budget, save money, and make investments to live within your means. I benefited from this as a six-figure income. With this strategy, my retirement savings have increased by almost $1 million.
Minimalism totally changed the way I spend money. I really question the value of anything I am buying and whether I want this item in my house. There are many questions I ask myself and so impulse spending doesn't happen anymore. I love living a minimal life where I either love or need everything I own.
I am not living paycheck to paycheck but am feeling the squeeze from higher food, utilities & gasoline. I looked at my budget constantly & finally realized that I was paying too much for cable, internet & home phone & cell phones. It is a pain to have to renegotiate yearly but really saves money. I have really been spending a lot less discretionary income & creating revenue for more interest, Luckily for me my coach Frost Hilda has been using every opportunity to ensure I benefit from each turn the market trend takes. Best be prepared for what the future will be bring..
I use to be like this when I was younger, now I'm way better with money. I'm just not impressed with a lot of material items anymore. Having a budget and having patience is something I had to practice overtime.

Great video. Your life seems to be very calculated. For many the travel fund you save is the entire salary they get every month and it becomes very challenging to even have an emergency fund. This video definately motivates us to reach where your are right now

I am surprised being financially intelligent, you didn't talk about any investments on tax. Saving in stock market doesn't help save taxes.
No medical or term insurance for yourself or parents. This expense plan was quiet straight forward, but there are many other things which are excluded.
I agree with your percentages though, one should target 50-50 once they earn enough

This is such a good reminder to put savings aa priority, esp given the uncertainty we have faced in past two years.
One query - stock market has been soaring a lot, as per my understanding. How to invest in such scenario, where already the stocks are at high?!
One should never try to time the market ✌🏼 the last best time to invest was 20 years ago and second best time is today ( PS: its a quote )
Invest in a staggered manner , don't time the market.invest a fixed amount at fixed regular intervals.
Overtime it will average out and u will get good returns.

Here, I liked that you and your husband both divides the expenses which is essential. I would like to understand how you had a conversation with your partner to divide household expenses. Usually, it is like one's expenses are used as monthly expenses wherein others are being used as savings and investments.
Also, with regards to investment, was curious if you have not included any retirement investment tools and bonds?
Could you tell on which platform do you invest your stocks and if possible can you suggest which app is good enough to invest among too many options to decide
