Love the passion of the people in the festival!!! ❤🥰
Your dragon emoji on the angry woman comment made me lol while I was watching this, sleepless, at 2am 😂 Everyone looks to be having such a wonderful time.
Sound quality on this video is excellent. Great stuff, Ram.
Yes, excellent sound quality indeed.
Only minor distortions when facing the big drum heads directly from too short a distance.
Watching the musicians, the dancers and the spectators made me happy.
Большое спасибо Вам за это, дорогой Rambalac! 🙏🙏
Rambalac has a very unique way of not only promoting Japan but he shows it in such a Great 3rd person format that one Almost feels they are there. Not many 4k walking tours can even rival the hundreds and hundreds of hours of Real Life and Real Feel that Mr. Rambalac delivers. Thank You for the Extremely Gifted work.
Obrigada
I was so worried when I thought these videos were not coming back. I'm grateful to be able to join in some of these adventures from afar, thanks!
I work at a Japanese restaurant and inside we have some display screens where we play your videos every night for people to watch while they eat and so many people love it!! Sometimes it’s a little distracting because i love to watch it too haha :-)
Must have been a really sweaty and noisy experience. I think Awa-odori really captures that deep-summer festival vibe. I like watching it with a cool beer and just letting the music and dancing transport me to a Japan without having to endure the 30C. A real summertime treat!
And I must say I'm really impressed by the dynamic range of that mic. You get so close to those drums and I cant' hear any clipping and I can still make out a lot of the more quiet environmental sounds at the same time.
Thank you Rambalac. Your videos give me a good time. Escapism, which I appreciate very much in my everyday life. I hope that one day I will be able to travel to this beautiful country.
C'est la paix qui régne ici.
Very lively... Cool friends 👍💖
34*C and very humid weather thank you Ram.
great sound
I thought I was stuck at home for another day, due to my agoraphobia and extreme panic attacks, but TONIGHT I went to JAPAN. Thank you so much, Rambalac 💝 You are a gift to the world
❤ AWESOME as always !!! Thank you!!! 👍😽😽😽❤️
✨Amazing/outstanding 👑
I just saw your update! So sorry for this long comment on the video, but I've been following your account for a while. You seriously got me through the pandemic when I couldn't leave the house (and also couldn't visit my favorite place in the world!) So I wanted to say thank you because you have helped me so much. And reading comments on your videos the last few years, I know that so many other people that I see in the comments are also inspired by you. That's why I subscribed to your Patreon (you mentioned not knowing why people would do that!)... because you have such a great visual eye and curiosity, I watched dozens and dozens of other videos like this walking around the world but this is the only one I subscribed to and still watched. I'm not telling you all of this to convince you to come back, as I hope taking a break helps you figure out what makes you happiest. But I want you to know that you really helped so many people while you were sharing, including me. So I also wish I could help you now in your moment of need! But all I can do is say thank you for everything! You're basically the top auteur for these walking videos and I am grateful for your archive. I'll be thinking about you and rooting for you in your next chapter, whether or not that means you return to sharing your walks again. Loneliness and depression are no joke and it's going to be something difficult to overcome, but you have built an entire community that sees how special and generous you are. And we're all rooting for you! 頑張ってね、Rambalacさん! ✨
Amazing stuff
And another one from the master, thank you Rambalac 💚😼 🇵🇾🇯🇵👍🏻
до чего же атмосферные фестивали в Японии))) именно за этим буду и буду туда ездить
❤❤thanks for share!
This was one of your most enjoyable videos. There were so many happy people that I had a constant smile on my face while watching. This deserves a million views!
This is so cool! Thanks for capturing amazing moments like this. I want to and plan on going to visit Japan, but if I never get to these are a great way to visit another country from the comfort of your own home.
this is dope
Thank you. Fantastic to watch.
thanks Ramba 😁
total awesomeness thank you!
Exciting - feels like being a part of the event! Enjoyed to go down the street with the taiko drummers, and to see the parade from various angles and directions - at about 57:00 it felt even like flying above the dancers and viewers 🥰 , you must be a kind of a filming magician 👏😁👍?! Great to see, hear, feel this all - oh, and with the advantage of pleasant temperature in the room, and ice cream ready 😅... thank you so much 😽!
I always love to watch Awaodori, it's somehow mesmerizing. Thank you Rambalac!
Super 🙏
The sound is surprisingly good even from my phone speakers. Great job capturing.
Did you see us there @Rambalac? :)
Magnifique 💖💖
Muy lindo ver las tradiciones de Japón... 👍👍
Amazing atmosphere! Thank you!
Japan is love💖🇯🇵
60만!! 축하합니다.
Восторг от просмотра. Великолепно передана атмосфера праздника. 🙏
Thank you for the walk Ram!
Wow, happy streetparty and nice video !!!
😃👍👍👍
very authentic Japan in that vid, thanks for the share. Makes me wanna visit small japanese villages with provincial folklore.
A walker from Paris
Thank you very much for this. It must have been very hot but the atmosphere is very lively!
Looking forward to watching this later today. Thank you for the explanation of the event.
Thanks for the all the videos in Japan… I am still really enjoying your Rains videos … thank you Mr. …… 👍👍👍
Happy Matsuri 🎏🎉
超讚!
Good job
Thanks for posting this video. I hadn't heard of this festival even though I've been to the Tokushima Awa Odori twice, and the Koenji Awa Odori. This reminds me of some of the free routes in Tokushima where the crowd is very close to the dancers. Koenji seemed much more crowded than your video of Shimokitazawa, (the night I went to Koenji it was super hot and humid (I think even hotter and humid than normal), and JR had to have traffic control inside the train station because there were so many people getting off the trains).
Great atmosphere, thanks rambalac
I love that I can watch this over and over and over...
Thanks for posting such an immersive experience. I think you're the only POV j-walker who's got into the thick of things! Thank you!
full of peace full of love…..wonderful
Thanks again, always a good time walking with you 😍
Thank you for posting your videos! With the economy such as it is, our plans to travel to Japan have had to be delayed several times. Seeing the sights through your help is so fabulous!
بسیار زیبا 🇮🇷❤🇯🇵
So glad you didn't give up, love your videos man!
I'm really loving this! Thanks for sharing such an awesome new experience, great video.
I've never seen Shimokitazawa Awa-odori before. Thank you!
_Wow, just like in the anime "Golden Time"! Amazing!🪐♥_
love this stuff
This is exactly why I'd love to visit Japan in August! ❤
That is too hot!! Thank you for recording , I hope to go over in the next year or two - but not sure what experiences (if any) I will get like this!
Hi ramba hope you're doing well! Thank you for all that you do :)
That was so very awesome.!!!🎉
the dancers are so cute and pretty! and mad respect to all the performers, must have been exhausting to keep this up on what looks like a really hot night. especially the giant drums probably arent light.
The quality and sound is superb!!!! Gracias amigo!👍🏽
Thank you very much! I really wish that one day I'd be able to visit Japan and experience all of this in reality but life is just crazy 🫨
Hey Ram!
Can we do premiers again? I miss chatting with you and the regulars. Id love to hear how you are doing! 🙂
I was there because of you. Gabare.
Thanks Ram!
can't take my eyes off this🎉
I dont know why but I love japanese drums, I could listen them for hours.
Thank you for posting this traditional Japanese festival!
I love these taco 🌮 inspired hats!!

I was there too!
I saw someone who looked like you,Rambalac! I wasn’t sure at that time, but it was you.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to be in this video. Hope to see you again someday!
Big up the chap in the Hypnus Records t-shirt, enjoying live minimal techno.
Was in kyoto for obon in 2014, good times!! Thanks for the video, Ram!
Thanks R, great view. It was almost like being there, many happy memories for me. But not so hot. here in Vancouver. Great job.
I love festival, carnival, or parade, whatever its name. hehe. mostly on the street like this. it's kind of show but it's free and we can get very close to the performer
Welcome back, Rambalac :) And thank you
So good to see people ditching the masks and we can see the ladies beautiful smiles again.
Whenever i see a Rambalac video appear, it is a good day! thank you Rambalac!
I think being the first Awa-odori in four years gave it an extra positive energy that shows in both the performers and the people watching it from the sides. Thanks Ram, I've missed this, too!! 👍
Спасибо за интересное видео. Всего самого хорошего😊❤🌸🍀
Beautiful, as always. Thank you, Rambalac
11:25 those two just chilling and watching it all through their window. Getting the VIP experience.

Jakość dźwięku i obrazu cudowna❤ między innymi kocham Japonię za ten taniec. Dziękuję za ten film.
You may not think so, but you are giving folks like me a chance to experience, in a small way, a unique experience of the country of Japan. Thank you so much
If you have not done so already, I hope you get to go to Japan someday and experience this and much more in person. I can assure you, your visit to this marvelous country will be an amazing experience you will never forget.
I feel the same way.
Same.
