Written in 2022 just after I got dumped and was searching for cures for my illness and discovered how bad sugar affects disease so I was researching a way to get sweetness in my diet that contained no sugar (Monk Fruit is still bad but I didn't find that out until years later)...
and I was writing songs like crazy to make up for the time I lost being in a relationship. And then the guitar was recorded in 2022 in the first weeks of living in the house where we are now on a Squire Strat because all my other guitars were still in boxes. It was nice to finally be able to hear my guitar playing without constant road noise or banging on sheds and fences from the bloody neighbours whilst staring out of the skylight.
I re-recorded the vocals last week (April 2024 ).
Ironically when I finally saved enough to buy Monk Fruit....it destroyed my gall bladder and made my face itch like crazy and added more than just sweetness to my dishes and ruined them so ...yeah....
This song is about no one really, it was just about the person I'd thought I'd find one day that is nice, hard working and doesn't randomly leave one day because of my illness or lack of money.
HOWEVER this song I feel can represent whatever....
Currently I dedicate this song to songwriting, Lego and cold water on a hot day.
