#19 Bosnia Herzegovina on the Ciro Trail // Bike Touring Europe

- We cycled Bosnia Herzegovina on the Ciro Trail in September 2022. This beautiful country surprised us with magical scenery, super friendly people and great food! We loved the bakeries, and paying with „Mark“ and „Pfenning“ was kind of hilarious for us Germans, since the Bosnian Mark was strongly related to the Germand Mark.
In contrast to the beauty the omnipresent danger of land mines sent shivers down our spines. It really is a great danger, hence we were super careful when it came to wild camping. Nevertheless we found a beautiful spot next to a lake, which was marked on Komoot and Google Maps.
We left the country after 4 short but adventurous days towards Croatia.

Alex and pretty girl, it looks lovely in Bosnia, but with landmines, it's not. Be very careful . They put landmines where they think you will walk, like a nice clear piece of ground with a stream. Take care.

I do not know if you are heading home for the winter and then touring out again next year? Is there a way I can contact you about a "sponsorship"/donation? It sounds like you have had it with your Koga. Would you like a free frame? (with three wb cage mounts?) I specialize in small touring frames/ have some collecting dust. I tried looking at your website but it's in German (I was kicked out of German class in 10th grade.)
