Whale Watching Cruise out of the World's Smallest Harbor! | Sea & Sand RV Park, Depoe Bay, Oregon!

- We have one of the best views on the Oregon coast at the Sea & Sand RV Park! We are here for a couple of nights in Depoe Bay to enjoy what the Oregon coast has to offer.
We enjoy some of the local food and drinks around the Depoe Bay area. We check out breweries, taphouses, restaurants and cafes.
The first night there we go to Gracies Sea Hag. Here we enjoy calamari, halibut, clam chowder and local beers from The Depoe Bay Brewing Co.
After a short walk around the town, we head over to The Horn Public House. Depoe Bay Brewing serves up the beer and the desert.
In the morning before our whale watching excursion, we had over to the Arch Rock Caffe for coffee, breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich and cinnamon roll.
After the tour, we have supper at the Beachcrest Brewing and enjoyed a delicious Thai pizza with their hand-crafted artisan ales.
The highlight of the trip was an excursion out in the Pacific Ocean for a whale watching tour. Although the trip wasn't as eventful as we might have hoped, we did enjoy the boat ride out and back.
One interesting fact is that is that Depoe Bay is home to the world's smallest harbor. Also, in the early 70's, Jack Nicholson, Danny Devito, Christopher Lloyd and Brad Dourif were in the area filming one of the movies most iconic scenes.
The Sea & Sand RV Park was immediately one of our most favorite RV campgrounds along the Oregon Coast. Beach access was only feet away to take our little dogs for a stroll along the water.

You guys ate well as usual - so many yummy things. I like seafood so I would probably enjoy the Sea Hag. Looks like a nice time whale watching - so neat to be able to see their waterspouts. I also really liked all the great drone shots of the area you included in the video.
Thanks the seafood is usually pretty good on the coast and sounds like you would enjoy the sea hag. We love the coast and it was nice seeing some whales in our area. Wow, Depoe Bay was not something we were even aware of - looks like a great place - definitely added to our list now. And the park looks great too. Gracies Sea Hag looks like our kind of place - seafood and not too expensive - we love those kinds of casual restaurants. I would never think to mix cheesecake and beer - we will have to give that a shot. And that scene from one flew over the Cuckoos nest- Love that movie and that scene - good find!. The town there looked really nice with great food, drink and gifts, thanks for showing us this area!

The beach is just beautiful. You got some great drone footage throughout the video. Love fresh seafood. You’ve got me wishing we were there. It looked amazing. That was a good price for a big beer. Sunset was gorgeous. Those cheesecakes-yum!! Never heard of beer and cheesecake pairings. 😂😂 puppers are adorable. We’ve done dolphin watching tours, but not whale. So want to do that. What an amazing area. Definitely need to go. Looked like a lot of fun.

All is well, but we haven’t been at the cabin. We’ve been in Texas with family. We are on our way back to the cabin. We hope to get back to videos soon.

Oregon is on my list. I’ve never been to this state yet. Looks like you two ate well. The desserts looked delicious. It’s nice that you got to see whales. I know it’s never a guarantee. I went on one of these tours in Acadia and the whales were repeatedly breaching out of the water. It was amazing. 👍
We did a tour in Hawaii and saw spouts but no breaching hopefully one day we will. You would love the PNW tons of great hiking, camping and other great outdoor adventures. Thanks for comments and the great support so glad you joined us!

Hey guys I did respond but we were in the Redwoods and I am seeing these replies didnt happen. Yes the wind can be bad around the ocean and many times Ron will get a warning and does then bring it closer to us and many times lands soon it is tricky and scary we would hate losing it. We use our go pro a lot for action stuff and outdoors it is so easy to just pick up and go but we have realized indoor it is our phones a lot and occasionally the Nikon. Ron has refused ever getting anything Iphone we have Androids. You and Mike email or call us anytime we love learning from each other. Thx for the support Safe Travels to you!

Hello sorry we were in the Redwoods and none of our replies went through. We mainly use our go pro when we are outside and when we are walking or hiking. When we are inside many times we will just use our cell phones or Nikon we are still learning everyday and playing with things. Ron uses Premier Pro for all his editing but we have had meetings with others that all use a variety of editing programs. What camera equipment and editing do you use? @@justramblinaround Hi Jodi and Ron, thanks for taking time to respond, much appreciated you keeping up with all the comments! You do a great job! Its good to learn from you. We have not tried shotting with our cell phones but notice many creators do. Perhaps we'll use. Our main go to cameras are the GoPro 9s. We had used our older Cannon Rebel DSLR which the quality was just not up to par for our liking. The good news, is that we are excited about our newly purchased Sony ZV-E1 full frame camera and also bought two lens, the Simga 16-34mm and Sigma 24-70mm lens. The video quality is stunning for vlogging and general shots. Still learning the Sony and hopefully this will up the game on the quality side. For editing, we use Power Director 365 since we started the channel. Its OK but we dislike the whacky templates that are more cartoony looking and unprofessional. We prefer clean titles and great fonts for that pro look. Each update release on PD365 seems to make the program less user friendly. They focus adding more and more silly templates which are geared to the kids on TikTok versus us older folks on CZcams platform. So, we are seriously thinking of converting to Premiere Pro.
