the thrown axes might do low dmg..... but at the same time they're thrown axes. That's cool as hell
Incarnon adapters are really getting me to branch out. I don't want to get 10 different weapons that do the exact same as the ones before it, so giving things like Ack and Brunt a fun gimmick makes me really want to dive into these previously redundant weapons.
They do heat, so you can always just pile on the status procs for frying higher level content.

The great thing about both Dual Ichor and Ack&Brunt is that they are hybrid-viable. I built my Ichor for Blood Rush/Weeping Wounds, and it still works well to dish out heavy attacks here and there. The combo ramp up with evolutions make it so easy to do so!
they can build combo so fast!

I did pick up this weapon, because it seemed cool and because I figured it would be one of the less sought after ones, a little more under the radar. Love to see how effective it is.

my favorite sword and shield since its release, nothing in its class looks as brutal and raw. So glad its back up to speed (although I never stopped using it)
Picked burston and ack & brunt this week. They go perfect with my lex for my "its 2018 again" feeling having just returner to the game after taking a multiple year break from the game.
Very happy with my choices this week tbh

I love the stat bumps, but the projectiles having knock down made me cry.
The axe throws work like radial procs, so guaranteed every hit, I use high slash and heat, with a crit plus combo time riven, love it so far.
Edit: They are amazing with Voruna, I use the heavy efficiency passive, no loss of combo count at all.
I went with Burston and Ack & Brunt this week. Seems I chose... wisely!
I saw someone do a vid on the incarnon Ak and brunt and they said it was complete doodoo but here you are making it work
Always worth getting multiple opinions tbh. Also I love this weapon so I was going to make it work regardless
Glad I picked this, have picked up the Vasto over the Burston simply because I wanted to have more secondary incarnons, which I kind of regret, but definitely glad I didn't pick up the Soma like almost everyone else.
I was gonna pick Ack n Brunt until I realized I had sold it (along with a lot of the formerly "weak" weapons that are now buffed or constantly spawning in Duviri) so I passed for the Burston/Soma.

glad there's finally a comprehensive vid on the weapon. Prior to this there was only, like, one video and it was someone just showing it off with volt speed so you can't tell wtf is going on
now if only there was one for Nami Solo incarnon... i only saw one video, but it looks like it's just a bigger machete from what it said.

@@TacticalPotato that's the one i saw, but from what I recall and the first minute or so i just now reviewed just in case, it didn't make mention of an incarnon gimmick- ceramic dagger projectiles, ack and brunt projectiles, furax fire slam, etc. and just showed the other effects that are listed on the tin. Otherwise fantastic video, though.
i use to love this weapon back before they rework the melee, i love how you can right click and just hold that guard up... i wish they still have those, i remember they have mods that activate when your shield is up.
Switch to melee (hold f in pc). It will work like old melee

My first full upgraded weapon was the Ack & Brunt and its gonna be the first one that gets played with during wispers in the wall.
That heavy attack spam is gonna go crazy.
Man I don't know want to choose this week. I though i had it down to the Burton and Vasto but after seen this in action I might pick this up instead of the Vasto. I love the heavy attack play style.
Vasto is a legit monster. Just low incarnon charges
@Tactical Potato Yeah true. The High Noon fan the hammer is really cool too. I'm actually kinda glad there are tough choices each week so it makes you want to run it the next time to get the others you miss out on.
I chose ack & brunt. I think it’s one of the coolest incarnons yet. Throwing axes is exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately they dropped the ball on the damage output because it’s almost completely useless. Not to mention slide attacks will knock yourself down and feel clunky unless you’re lucky enough to have primed sure footed. They need to rework this incarnon but I’m sure that ain’t happening since they haven’t even fixed the bugs on all the other incarnons.
With luck in time they will add throwing axes as a secondary, they have throwing knives as a secondary and they added a javelin with Duviri in addition to the spearguns they already have.
I'm so glad I'm an Atlas main. I don't get knocked back by the sliding throw ackses. Ack & Brunt is also perfect for my Atlas Graxx with Saturn Six attachments. Very Grineer, I say.

Axes always will be a selling point for me, I hate swords but love my axes anyday. I did also get ack & brunt also went burstron which is decent. I wish we got dual Zoren incarnon, kulstar incarnon and More incarnon that gain charges on hit instead of via headshots. I will say I hate that every incarnon is heat in incarnon mode, electricity would have been nice instead tbh. I also kinda hope DE adds more weapons with gas on it innately in future, I was very disappointed gas was not an element in lich/sister's system. Nice video Tac I appreciate you sincerely.
If the thrown axes could drop the forced heat proc and be given even stats to each ips damage (maybe?) With whatever element if you choose to mod it on.. it could become a thrown slash bomb, i tried modding it for forced slash procs and didnt work, but built for gas and using magus anomaly is a fun little thing to do for like 10 minutes with the ack and brunt.

I haven’t seen anyone do an actual build around the axes for this weapon. Try on an eclipse volt built for aim glide, it wrecks
I actually picket this one because I like this type of melee, and for the potential of being a good stat stick for my gara

@@TacticalPotato it does though the icon can be buggy, either not appearing at all or appearing as a black box, bugframe things stalwart oak will appear more often for me with arcane guardian but stuff like the burstons passive that requires 450 armor might not show up in the ui but the punch through is however still there
Honestly this rotation, I think the weapons to go for are Burston and Ack and Brunt but if you really don’t like melees then soma but build it for non incarnon form. I personally went Soma Vasto it was so underwhelming, I just got vasto for animation and soma for being soma. I’m hoping they get buffs , vasto needs more ammo in incarnon form and soma idk maybe aoe ?
Nami Solo is quite good for a standard classic melee build, it just that weapon do not have any gimmick ability. Strong but plain.
Are the axes additive or multiplicative with condition overload?
Edit: Additive or Multiplicative with Pressure Point. For example Verdilac projectiles are Multiplicative I believe

I picked it for that no combo drain while holstered. Cause wouldn't that work as a stat stick like the Xoris before it was nerfed?
nope your combo resets if you use exalted or pseudo exalted abilities if you picked the no combo drain evo
they better give the silva and aegis a good incarnon evo. i love that weapon and that'll give me a good reason to use oberon more often.
It really is and especially with a good riven. You can use the axes to spread procs for condition overload. Then you can armor strip them and kill them with a 12x red crit build
I went with the ack&brunt and man with Voruna it is scary. Stealth->prime->throw axe for 1mil+ damage lol
I can't tell if it is a bug that when you have the Combo Counter pause effect slotted that Khora's whipclaw resets the combo counter, or if they were trying to avoid another Xoris situation.
It's intended I think.

This weapon is amazing with tenokai hybrid spam+ heavys I went for oppertunities reach so i have more time to set up a good Shmack with my nautlus xD

the Ack & Brunt has one use and that's with Gara if you have the one mod on that gains combo count while blocking but that's just a me thing because I wouldn't use this for heavy attacks
I always loved the ack & brunt and I got this incarnon straight away. Would have took the nami solo as well although I never liked it so I got the burston. Still I think the Nami Solo might have been a better idea...

Correct me if I'm wrong but, as a Barruk main, isnt this weapon busted? can I not just get a 12 time multiplier and have it paused for the duration of the incarnon form? While I use Blood rush and Gladiator mods on it I'll have the stats transferred to Barruk's 4.

All you need is 1 blue t shard and that 400 armor is taken care of. Also to mention this thing is an AMAZING stat stick for gara.

@@bumboclat it's the number 1 SS for gara even over jaw sword apparently. Ceramic dagger feels better as an overall melee weapon though.

@@bumboclat she also loves slash procs which ceramic dagger has none of unless you direct hit with a heavy lol. Ack brunt has one of the strongest weighted slash procs of melee weapons. Also can keep combo counter up by switching to a different weapon or just run naramon.
@@travislong2176 huh? A Gara statstick is not used as melee, but providing bonuses for her 1. All combo is consumed upon using her 1, but ceramic dagger does not care, making it arguably stronger than jaw or high dispo zaws. Or am I missing sth?

shame I don't like how the weapon looks nor the generic skin for sword and board melees, makes me hesitant to use it even if it works well with Zephyr which I use a lot.

For anybody thinking of using this for khora for whatever reason its broken atm and completely eliminates your combo counter the second you use whipclaw
That's not a bug, that's a shitty workaround DE patched in starting with the Xoris that applies to all combo-pausing effects because it was "too good" with pseudo exalteds
@Clara NOPE I'd gathered that might be the reason, as it only applies with the combo count freeze if you use the other evolutions it still works fine, just loses the main evolution you wanted for a pseudo-exalted.

Hmm might actually get this one tbh since I haven't locked in my choices yet. I saw someone showcase this weapon a day or two ago and he made it seem like the weapon was complete cheeks, but this kind of changed my mind. I really do wish the axe attacks were stronger tho because that is a sick af gimmick and would finally be an alternate contagion.
I picked this one too, but honestly I am enough of these incarnon weapons. Too many formas spend, too many weapons in my arsenal already and too grindy to get them work. The Torid was awesome, the Strun the Boltor etc…. but why do I actually need even more? I mean next week 5 more weapons coming. I am enough and tired of the tradechat for next week rivens 😂
I don't see much damage, my ack does 4 to 10 million red crits with heavy attack.
