Great double joke by Capcom towards rival company SNK (for those of you who don't know, "Art of Fighting" and "King of Fighters" are both titles of SNK arcade fighting games that went head-to-head with the "Street Fighter" arcade series). "Art of Fighting" was released not long after "Street Fighter II", and featured a character named Ryo Sakazaki, whose name, fighting style and appearance managed to bear a resemblance to Ryu, with Ken's hair color. In humorous retaliation, Capcom made Dan Hibiki himself also a joke on SNK, being a combination parody of famous SNK "Art of Fighting" fighters Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia and Yuri Sakazaki. Dan's pink clothing is based on Ryo's orange attire while his hairstyle and facial features are similar to Robert's; He taunts similarly to Yuri Sakazaki. This was back in the days when companies attacked each other personally in more creative ways than what is seen today (i.e. Sega's famous slogan "Genesis does what NINTENDOn't!").
And don't forget the Rugal's collection of statues on KoF'94, where the cast of Street Fighter 2 were petrified.

JAYBIRD75961 That was a localization problem, because of copyright. M. Bison it's Vega, Balrog it's Vega, and M.Bison it's Balrog.
I knew they switch the names, but Capcom is known to steal characters. Hagger is based of jesse the body ventura when he was a wrestler

Fei Long was a tribute to Bruce Lee, while Mortal Kombat's Johnny Cage was based on actor Jean-Claude Van Damme and his appearance in movies like Bloodsport, while both Solid Snake and Naked Snake were based on Kurt Russell's character Snake Plisskin from John Carpenter's "Escape From New York". In fact, when going undercover Solid Snake's name was "Iroquois PLISSKIN".

I loved how you countered that Messatsu Gou Hadou against Akuma, the way you overcame Chun-Li in that rival match,but most importantly,the whole battle plan set-up-mainly because you faced every member of Shadowloo, including the final boss, M. Bison, himself. Speaking of M.Bison, people would think Dan would fight the boss first, but in reality, he would fight the true identity of Mike Bison first,and that's the boxer! Excellent video!

I never saw the entire bar go down. I assume the fighter would not be able to block anymore in the round.
They get stunned for a few seconds
Not only that, but their guard meter gets shorter for the rest of the round if it's depleted.
The player/computer gets stunned for few seconds.
