I’m a mom of 2 and have been working extremely hard on creating products. I have paid for numerous subscriptions and to no avail haven’t been making sales. This was super helpful. I have heard some of this information from others but it didn't gel until yesterday when I watched your SEO teaching. It made a lot of sense to me and I was able to work on the research all day today. I would also love to part of the Inner Circle. My husband and I worked in the real estate business for the past 30+ years and was planning to continue - however our work went from a good income to zero in the past 2 years. We both love crafting so purchased a laser engraving machine and have some success but not enough to pay the bills. Also, it is super time intensive. I heard about POD in January and have been watching videos and classes since then. I have an Etsy shop opened up and have been focused on Christmas ornaments as these are our most popular item for our Laser Business, so I felt like I had some idea of what customers like. This was exactly what I needed. I’ve been working on my Etsy POD business for just over a year now and have had some success, hitting 1,000 sales at the end of April and I'm on track for 3,000 this month, but your breakdown on titles and tags really showed me there’s still a lot I can fine-tune. I know how important keywords are, but the way you tied everything together with relevancy and phrase exact keywords just clicked for me. You want to be careful to not mess with the titles, tags or descriptions of items already selling ...it can mess up where you are ranked

Hey Jesse, thanks so much for this video. It has been incredibly insightful! The competition sounds amazing, so a little about my journey! I'm actually coming at POD from the opposite side to most. I have been working and trading in my niche for well over a decade so I know my customer base incredibly well. I sell a luxury handmade product so things have been tough the last year or so. I wanted to branch out into other products and stumbled onto POD! So I've begun building on my established knowledge and customer base creating designs that will resonate with them. I suspect with your help I could grow this branch exponentially faster than I've managed on my own so far :)
Been watching you for almost a year now. Great stuff. My story is I’m a retired military member who served in 4 Middle East deployments, while leaving family and small kids. I still work a normal job. I was honored to serve and would do it all over again. However, now I would like to dedicate my time to making sure my kids have a life where they don’t feel like they need to join the the military in order to make a consistent living and have no college debt. I want to set them up for something they can follow and be proud of their personal goals and achievements, and help others along the way, too. ❤

Hi Jesse! I really really needed this guide -- I thought I knew everything but I wasn't even close! Everything the other Etsy "GURUS" are sharing seems like recycled information . No one is sharing anything new .. except evidently, you.
I've been working on my shop for 15 months now and still dont have any momentum going and I'm starting to feel so discouraged but my motivation to succeed is intense.
I listened to your video with Jessie G yesterday and she got my inspiration back up! If I had the opportunity to work with her or you, I'd be so so freaking elated. I have 4 kids aged 10 months to 6 years. My husband leaves for work at 4am and doesn't get home until almost 8pm. I so desperately need this shop to work for us so that I can keep him home with us, keep him present with us. He missed our baby's first steps yesterday and was truly devastated.

Hi Jesse! This video was absolutely mind-blowing. I've never seen anyone break down their Etsy SEO process like this before. I'm off to list some new products right now using this method and I'm excited to see how they're going to do compared to what I've been doing for the past year that clearly hasn't been working that well! I've only made 17 sales in my Etsy shop in that time, and most of them have been in the last month, so I feel like all of this CZcams education is finally starting to help me make traction. Hi Jesse - wow, what a great video! I've been on my POD journey since May 2024, focusing in on shirts and sweatshirts to start. So far, I've made 21 sales. Not horrible, but could be a lot better. I have followed all the gurus I can find and even became a student of a couple of them. I'm determined to make this work. But even through all those hundreds of videos I've watched and the tutoring I've received, this has been by far the most informative and structured content ever. Jesse, I want in!! 🙏 I actually tried getting in last year when Inner Circle launched on Stephen’s channel. My shops been open over a year and I’ve made sales but it’s all because my loss leaders took off which have minimal profit. I think I struggle a lot with prioritization not knowing what to really do and when to do it. I don’t work a normal job this is it for me. So I literally study this all day every day lol keep doing what you do!

I've watched you and Stephen over the last couple of years and have learned a lot and tried to implement various methods you both share. In 2017, I started with a general store; however, it became apparent to me back then that my customers preferred a specific niche I designed for and have focused on that niche ever since. Since you seem to create products for the most popular niches and products, I've wondered if your methods would work successfully over time for just one niche. I am a stay at home mom of two who started my Etsy store last August after my husband left the military and we faced a huge transition. I found a groove and had a great first q4, but I'm looking to SCALE. To date, I have done a little over 40k in total revenue in one year! Started in 2023 have 900+ listings sold 824 but still making just seems Pennie’s per hour of investment. Seems like I am so close to making this work. Just trying to figure where I am off track. Hi Jesse, around 44 minutes and 33 seconds, you talk about how the listing is not ranked for the keywords. I do not understand how you know that and what part of the screen you are looking to determine that. Are you referring to the order in which they appear in the Etsy search bar? Could you please elaborate?

Hi Jesse, thanks for this video! But shouldn’t we check the competition rate? You’ve selected the most competitive keywords. How would that work for newbies?
@@rashelginzburg Great question! When key-wording your product RELEVANCY matters the most. So if you try to branch into keywords that have “low competition” you will likely lower your click through rate and conversion rate along with the amount of search volume you are leveraging. So like I say in this training, once you have solidified there is demand for the product you are creating you should then revert to relevancy with your key-wording process so that your title, tags, and front photo/product are all one in the same. Your long tail keywords will also be lower competition naturally so you get the best of both worlds.
Remember, your business is fueled by PROPERLY leveraging search volume.

I don't think everbee is correct in their search volume estimates...I made copies of some items and did AB testing with the second having high search low competion titles (according to everbee) they are not doing we'll am doing getting no views (I know they can Sale bc the titles I made myself do).

I made a switch in 2023 to go all in on serving my clients in ICP with strategic product types and world class POD education. We grew very quickly and I want to give 100% to what I do now. I peaked at around $3,500,000/year on Etsy and Amazon and moved into the next chapter of my journey which is where I am today.
It was a big shift but it is what I am called to do!
@Jesse Teaches: You do not need repeating keywords like "mom" in your sample. Only one time is needed. So you did not understand the logic of Etsy right.
I hear what you are saying, and you would be right when saying “you do not NEED to”.
However, Etsy recognizes phrase exact terms as more relevant than broad match. So the pros and cons are you can more easily rank for a term if it is in a phrase exact format however, you are taking up more keyword real estate by using the same word multiple times.
So with that being said it is up to you to determine which is most important based on the product you are launching.

Light bulbs are going off in my head. This video is PURE GOLD! I just reworked one of my titles the way that you suggested (I installed the Everbee Chrome extension) and overlapped my LTK. Have you ever added up the searches of the keywords (2+ keywords, excluding searches for single word keywords that are super broad like "mug")? This reworked title initially only had 15,748 searches and after I reworked it per your advice the count went up to 26, 686. It went up over 10K!!!! That's a HUGE difference! I can't thank you enough! Maybe my store will finally start to take off!
One thing I need clarification on........ The above listing is for a mug for certain profession. I'm torn about adding "name of profession" Christmas Gift in my title as that also gives the broad keyword of Christmas Gift which is NOT relevant because it is a profession specific item. You mentioned in the video that "broad tags can be costly for your business" in regards to tags but does that also apply to titles? Should I work in Christmas Gift or is that too broad considering it is a profession based gift? Thanks so much for all the value that you are providing! You are making such a difference!

Regarding your keyword question, remind yourself that your goal is to stay as relevant as possible while still maximizing your search volume. So with that being said something like: “Nurse Christmas” or “Nurse Christmas Gift” (if the profession was a nurse) would be suitable. Now with this you will want to prioritize the best events first and foremost which in the case could be nurse appreciation being more beneficial.
If you are struggling to get it in your title that you can just use one tag for it as well, but all that being said you absolutely can put a Christmas term somewhere in your title as long as the descriptive term goes in front of it! 💪🏼

Hey Jesse I would like to be part of your giveaway. My name is Shaun and I'm 17. For a while now, Ive been looking for ways to make money online from FBA to drop shipping to SMMA to SAAS and nothing has really clicked or gone anywhere. Upon searching for another business model, I stumbled onto print on demand. Out of all the things I've looked at, I am confident that print on demand best fits me. I have a knack for designing but also understand that the rest of the other elements are as, or if not, more important than the design itself. I've been grinding this model for about two weeks now and have been working multiple hours a day on it and have been gradually increasing these numbers to where I am today of about 4-5 hours a day. Additionally, any free time I have besides this is dedicated to learning more about POD such as videos like this. So far I have around 50 quality designs in the gym/fitness niche and pretty much all the mockups done for them. I haven't actually posted anything yet as Im trying to learn a little bit more before I do so, such as SEO, Pricing, and other components. I know I've only been doing this for two weeks but I would be honored to be apart of your program as I really want to succeed at this business and am ready to work a lot for it.
