I joined the church many years ago and i think i use to struggle with the same issue you mentioned, However I discovered that i was speaking in tongues even though i was not aware of it. So we need to understand , what it is to speak in other tongues the Bible declares that One who speaks in a [Spiritual] language builds and improves himself (1 Corinthians 14: 4). There is no need for people to complain or to say that they are not able to speak in othere tongues. Because as you can see, It is a a matter of improving your life. The bible is clear and has a tangible evidence on that matter. As a Christian if you need to improve yourself you must be able to speak in the languages of the Spirit. So let me help differenciate different levels of sprikeang in tongues ansd you will realize that you were speaking in tongues maybe at a certain level 1) When we say speaking in tongues, we are simply meaning speaking in more than one language according to your skills. This level is Carnal as it depends on someone’s skills or ability. For instance, When you pay in both french and chinese you are praying in tongues already, its the same as speaking english and spanish. 2) Speaking in other tongues means taping into speaking languages of other nations which you have never been schooled in as the Holy Spirit gives you ability. This level is Spiritual, in fact it is what Happenned to the disciple at the day of pentecost in the book of acts :4. Where they operated in dimension of taping into languages of many nations, and people thought they were drunk, yet the Holy Spirit empowered them. 3) Speaking in unknown tongues means speaking heavenly languages which nobody can understands including you when the Holy Spirit gives you utterance. This level is spiritual So why do we need to operate in those levels of speaking in other tongues? Our opening verse says, "He who speaks in a [Spiritual] language builds up and improves himself ..." The question is: Do you want to increase in grace, wisdom and stature? Do you want to be catapulted unto another dimension and reach a new level of spiritual maturity and productivity in this time and the era to come? Do you want to make an impact on social matters and become a legend internationally? If your answer to the above quests is yes then you need thse speaking in other tongues, Speaking in spiritual languages will help; it will increase you Spiritually and physically. The Bible says. "But, beloved, build yourself [based] on your most holy faith [progress, ascend as a building higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit" (Jude 1:20 AMPC). The more you pray in spiritual languages, the more you are sensitive to the Spirit, to accumulate enough insights and direction for the time of need For instance, you may not know the exact paths you need to walk into to expand or develop your ministration, business, or career next year; take the time to utter spiritual languages. You will have spiritual insight and clairvoyance. Another important advantage of speaking in spiritual tongues is that it charges you, like your iphone battery. And when a battery is fully charged, it works efficiently and lasts longer. I have been speaking in different levels of tongues for the past five years and my life has changed. Everytime i speak peopl sorrounding me get healed miraculously, some receive financial breakthroughs and others prophetic ability.
