SAFETY ISSUE? Propane: Just want to point out you shouldn't lay your propane tank on its side. Listened to an RV tech in Texas share the explosive possibilities. Please consider securing straight up with bungees. Love your channel and looking forward to seeing Tuttle Creek soon! So beautiful there! Safe travels!

We added an airfryer, and 3
    .
'quart instapot to our camper appliances. They have lessened the cooking load by 75 percent. I cook my bacon and toast and biscuit in the airfryer. Plus, chicken and pretty much all my meats except steak in there. The instapot I use if I'm tired from the day and too tired to cook. Just dump all the ingredients in, and it's does all the rest.

I camped at Tuttle for years, and the general area for decades. In all of those years the campground was never over half occupied, usually much less. Over the past few years though things have changed dramatically. Social media has completely ruined the area. My last trip to Tuttle Creek a couple of years ago, it was completely full, and not with respectful folks, but a bunch of rowdy noisy city people. The crowds at Alabama Hills in their Sprinter vans and over-equipped overland Jeeps (that never see real off-roading) was heartbreaking. When I lived in Bishop in the 70s I would visit those hills often and usually encountered zero to two or three other people, max.
I love Catherine's videos, not blaming her.
Much of the problems started with Instagram and FB posts going viral, which attracted a mass of people with a different mindset than previous generations of campers.
Now many areas in the west that were peaceful, even sacred, are ruined forever.
The worst part, aside from the loss of solitude is the amount of scattered litter, and even graffiti and other vandalism. 😢

Hi Cat! We’ve camped at Tuttle Creek. We prefer less crowds too. I just returned from Fallen Leaf campground in South Lake Tahoe and it wasn’t busy at all! It was a girls trip and we were there during the week. Hosts said the campground was sold out over the weekend. We were gone by the weekend backpacking in the Desolation Wilderness. Was AMAZING! Lake Aloha is out of this world beautiful. I can’t wait for your Yosemite video. My coworkers (fellow nurses) and I are planning a backpacking trip there for our annul trip. Happy Sunday Cat! I was a little nervous when I saw how high your camper was jacked to get it level at that sloped campsite. I could just see you rolling down hill in the middle of the night. Funny, not funny, lol. Might be a good idea to carry some wheel chokes for situations like that. I have a similar Ninja air fryer and use it all the time! So easy to use, and healthier than oil frying. That time-lapse star trail shot was one of your best yet! We were just up at June Lake for a few days last week. Might have passed you on the road. I saw that Lone Pine was getting ready for their annual Film Festival. Might have been why the campground was crowded? So that was you at Walmart? Haha!

... Nice to see you add an air fryer in the trailer ,, not having an oven limits some great meals on the road ... I've been using one for about a year now (at home) ,, and seldom use the oven now ,, the air fryer can do so much .... Lots of video's out there on various meals and recipes ... I love "Mandy in the Making" ,, where she offers viewers recipes as well ,, and her husband and son are not only the taste testers (victims ??) ,,but also the first line critics .... easy to use and easy to clean up .. .. Always love the scenery and seeing that you are doing well ... Stay Safe ...
... I use an air fryer also in my small RV even though I have an oven , just got familiar with some recipes I like ... also Use a countertop ice maker when parked for a couple of days ,, freezer space is small and having enough ice is always needed more ,, especially in summer ...

My experience this fall camping out west in late Sept-Oct was that most camp spots were still crowded or full. Also some BML spots were charging and the only way to pay was through Reserve America and there service charge was $8.00. Some national forest camp spots were closed for the season but allowing "dry camping".

Hi Catherine - Just a heads up on Alabama Hills - I think they lost about 60% of their camping sites last year when they made it a National Scenic Area. I was there quite a few times last year and there were barely any open places to camp compared to the year before. I think they also mentioned somewhere that they will start charging fees soon. I guess it's a net positive since they will be preserving the area a bit more, but such a bummer that it's no longer just a BLM camping spot where you could almost always pull in for the night.

Some individuals don’t realize that reg. gas is 5.50 to 6 something a gallon in Cali. I just missed you, I was camping in the snow at twin lakes, Mammoth Ca. Melted fast. Safe travels

I love the Lone Pine/Alabama Hills area and your video really does it justice. Can’t believe the amount of green foliage for this time of year.

I remember your first solo overnight camp at Alabama hills, I have stayed there a bunch, but they are a permit system now.

Thank you for the beautiful video and the stunning scenery on the eastern side of the Sierras is amazing during the fall. I’ve driven up Highway 395 from Ridgecrest to Reno many times but have never been able to stop and camp along the way. The Sierras are one of my favorite mountain ranges and hope that many people will have the opportunity to drive up the eastern slope and appreciate the beautiful creation that is there for us.
And your supper reminded me of the vibrant fall colors! 😁
