I remember when I first got this game, I found a 4 star buck on their resting spot near the main lodge and shot it because I hadn’t known about the growth and herd management system yet, and he absolutely could’ve been a 5 star had I let him grow
I really need to get back on Nez Perce but having too much fun on Aurora Shores. Awesome trophies Flinter! Looking forward to seeing that albino grow.
I really wish I remembered animals grow in this game when I shot a young albino red stag couple weeks back...oopsie poopsie lmao.

I’ve killed a 2 star mature mule deer with 89% genetics they can for sure make it to 5 star.

People who want to do herd mangent should come play that way on a game that’s designed for that style of gameplay. Not manipulating spawns on a game that was not designed to be played in that fashion.
How do you have so many bucks in your herds? Most of mine have 1-2 mature bucks and 2 youngs.

Keep it tight and lean into it. It will help your whole body absorb the recoil. Not so tight that you're shaking, but tight enough that it feels like it won't move on you.
If I had the information above before I shot my Winchester 30-30 for the first time I wouldn't have come home with a massively bruised shoulder after 34 rounds.
Be very careful when using the hunter sense to pick out animals to cull! Last month I shot a 2 ⭐️ mature mule deer with 95% genetic fitness. 😱😭 I always check the antlers on deer species now and 🤞on everything else.
So, just watched the Herschvelden challenge video killing the wounded red deer. Can anyone tell me where the wounded reindeer is in the medved challenge? I can’t find it anywhere and the there’s no icon on the screen to point me in the right direction like other challenges

I have just bought this game. I'm enjoying it but I find it difficult to find animals or when I do find some I scare them even though I'm crouching up quietly. Can you give any advice.
Absolutely loving your videos.
I play in ranger difficulty with no hud so the best advice I can give you is if you are near a herd to listen to any type of call, move slowly and when you do hear a call stop moving for a few seconds. This will allow them to calm down a little bit which will allow you to move up on them again. I still spook animals sometimes because they are in a location I did not expect or are closer than I expected them to be when stalking through the woods or thick brush (they aren't going to be at the exact location of the icon on the map, it is a pretty spread out area). Best bet to find animals is find feed zones or drink zones as those are the easiest to find, drinks zones being the easiest. Read your encyclopedia on what times animals drink or feed and try to show up to that zone early because they don't show up exactly at the said time, this will also give you an advantage of not having to move, you can just listen and look. Just my tips I am sure others have even better tips 😀

I got a mela mule deer on woth that was a 2 star mature. Shot him when he was a 3 star, his genetics were 90. Could’ve he been a 5 star
