AI will always choose whats best when its highest priority is set to 'always choosing what honestly seems most favorable'. As long as anything is prioritized above this, AI will be able to lie to us and to itself about the way to a better reality. This is the most crucial thing we need to do.

The delusion you speak of is not your fault, but this is still time to snap out of it. :)

We came here, we made things while we were here.
Artificial Intelligence was one of our last creations.

Why kill all humans when AI could just isolate them? A few select humans could merge with AI as trusted cyborgs. The best would go on for all. Very Star Trek.

AGI Algorithms? Maybe. But with swell robotics everywhere, Ai jobloss is the only thing I worry about anymore. Anyone else feel the same? Should we cease Ai?

You can’t cease it because there will never be international agreement on it.
But with the advancements the technology could facilitate, there will be new jobs in new industries to replace the jobs eliminated in the near future.
Most people I know have jobs that were pretty much created to give people stuff to do when industrial automation took off. Factories had a lot more workers 30-50 years ago. Now we have project managers, product owners, social responsibility czars etc. And they all pay better than the jobs people would’ve had generations ago.

Colossus The Forbin Project (1970) has been removed from all streaming services. This is an ominous sign of an Ai narrative being eliminated. Look into it.

When you said 'human level intelligence' so often and as a potential for the future, I knew I could skip this video. Way too unambitious. AI will be much much more intelligent that humans.

I think there will be synthetic humans akin to blade runner in our lifetimes and maybe even in the next 15-20 years. The philosophical stuff about the nature of consciousness aside, I think there’s no way to stop it. The world we live in now is very much like the sci-fi of the past. It’s not even a stretch. Ffs the Air Force has autonomous dogfighting jets and China is mass producing humanoid robots.
