Our family visited 21 states this summer in our Lance 1172 and F350 Dually and we absolutely love it. They are both amazing pieces of equipment and a great pairing.
Thanks for this review.
That set up is sick!!!!!
Beautiful setup mate hope you really enjoy it, God bless you and your family 🙏
Just listened to your interview on BTL and I heard you talking about this camper. I had NO idea it was this cool!
That’s one hell of a set up!
I love this camper lance outdid themselves best family truck camper out there
Absolutely amazing setup!✌️
Love it I had the Cirrus 820 and loved it. I would of liked the slide outs of the Lance. Cirrus has the Aldi heating system that is much better than forced air. It's completely silent and the hot water is in demand no 6 gallon tank. Like I said the Lance Slide outs is a must on my next unit. I think a F350 for my needs is sufficient. Thanks great presentation.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful rig.
Your wife is really good at loading that big beast. It’s a dream rig for sure. I’m considering the 1172 and 972 for my 3/4 Time travels. Thanks for a very complete review!
1172 is nice but HEAVY, these truck campers are heavy.
This is literally my dream truck/home. I have made this my goal in life to own this setup before I die.
@azndremer209 i was saying the same u can go anywhere wit that setup
Sweet setup
We ordered a 2022 Lance 1172 last October and are still waiting for delivery. Lots of new features and standard features on the new 2022 models. You nailed the the one feature that we like the rear slide out with the couch. I didn’t find sitting at a dinette table that comfortable for a long period of time.
A perfect rig sir. Welcome to Merica!❤
Great video
Sick truck !
That thing is beautiful
The bathroom tour was the highlight.
AWESOME video, thank you for sharing. What version F450 do you have here in this video and what’s the payload from the factory? Thank you!
That is awesome.
I always say why tow a camper when you can tow a boat and sleep in a nice hotel, this is the solution. Boat, bathroom, kitchen. Perfect
Do ya? Do ya always say that?😉
How many hotels would you have to stay in to justify a $200,000 rig? If you paid $150/night and spent 50 nights/yr in a hotel, that comes to $7500. So if you do that for 27 years, you will have justified your purchase. You’re clearly a genius!😆
@@scottmichaels6854 if it’s a money only decision it’s a very poor decision and you’re beyond a doubt right, but if it’s transportation, living quarters, kitchen, safe space, and no nasties on the bed comforter I can understand the decision. If you cook you can save some bucks there too. I think I would like it for a short time too. Long term, no way.
@@scottmichaels6854 not everything is about money
Why not tow a 34’ cabin cruiser and stay in it? That’s what I do
You're blessed! I've been following you for awhile since your Harris Chain video with Bass university on humminbird and position etc..
I may do a lance 650 if my Ram 1500 can handle that weight with my Phoenix 721 on the back. Seems better than hotel to me..
That is awesome!
Geez mate what a set up! Wish they'd bring these lance campers to OZ! Game changers I reckon
I'm still amazed on how much space are in these campers.
Very cool.!!👊🏻👊🏻
Great looking truck
Awesome set up! Do you know your payload and combined weight? Just wondering if we need to go with an f550 or 5500.. thx
Wow Absolutely Epic Rig and Camper you’ve convinced me to buy a F450 instead of the F350
Stable camper is good but there is Not zero movement. Movement is reduced a lot but there is still movement depending on the circumstances.
The ultimate fishing rig #fearmyheart
Nice Rig !
I am very seriously looking at this setup to go see the US after 30+ years in the submarine service. When you say wet weight I take that as the camper and full white water and propane?
I'm looking at a cherry dump bed F450 right now. '02, 7.3 powerstroke with only 69k miles. I think I'm gonna scoop it up for my business. But as an afterthought, think I can get one of these campers into a dump bed? I think I'll have like 3 tons of useable payload with the dump bed attached. I guess if the bed is too long that could be an issue. Maybe? Would it be bad if it set back another 2ft? I think my buddy's F450 has a 10ft pickup bed, if it's not 12ft. Plus a crew cab. Massive.
Did you get the optional in bed camper certification option when you ordered the truck?
your video was great
You can configure a F350 to outperform an F450 as far as payload and towing a boat.
Very nice setup you got! 👌
Yes! An F450 is a much heavier truck. An F350 actually has about 1600lbs more payload than the F450. The 450 has more towing capacity but when you add a suspension lift, your giving up towing capacity. This is just a show piece, it’s not practical.
Very nice 👌
I got one more come well question is it good for like a safe pretty really cold outside I mean probably down to 20 or 30 or 40 below let me know thank you
It's very nice
Please tell me how much Ford F450 + lance camper
Thats pretty nice, Can you ship one over to Sydney? I will send the cheque in the mail....
Sick rig, man. How much?
I need to learn how to fish!
Tjank you
I have the same F450 and Lance 1172 set up with the wider fuel offset wheels. I have to take the outside wheels off to clear the camper jacks when loading /unloading the camper. How do you clear without taking the wheels off?
Do you have the dually swing out jack mounts?
Where do you get the torque bars
Curious what is your overall weight of truck and camper? We have 2022 f450 and an artic fox 1150 and were pretty maxed out
An F350 has about 1600 more pounds of payload than an F450 because an F450 is a heavier truck. You should not put a heavy camper on an F450 because the extra weight of an F450 takes away from the payload. An F450 can tow more weight, but you cannot put as much in the bed…which is where a camper goes. You should trade that F450 for an F350.
Out of curiosity how much pressure do you put in your airbags and what is rhe Max capacity of the air bags?
Hey mate, they are 100PSI and we generally run them at 80PSI!
@@CarlJocumsen cheers. I have a mini version. Great vid!
Have you ever been overweight?
I inquire because an F-350 has more payload capacity than an F-450. F-350 is for hauling and an F-450 is for towing. When Ford kept the 14,000 lbs GVWR for both but beefed up the F-450 it lost payload capacity.
Do you use an onboard compressor or a portable like a viair ? I'm considering a similar setup but struggling with a 350 or 450. Probably a Host Mammoth. And instead of a boat a small toad like a Jeep or something
Because of the 450's additional motor and transmission weight, the 350 can handle a greater payload is that's the concern.
Yeah the F350 has about 1600lbs more payload capacity than an F450 so it would be crazy to purchase a F450 for a camper. If you’re buying a fifth wheel, that’s great but not a camper. The F450 is much heavier so the payload is much less.
@ 10:18 Uhhh no. I would advise you not to camp on the four jack poles alone. Put some support boxes or racks under your truckbed camper to stabilize and distribute the weight and save your four jack poles for mounting and dismounting only.
I got a couple questions is your truck a 6-ft bed or 8-ft because I know they make four of the eight foot but it's special ordered and is your camper is the same as a 6 ft or 8 ft can you get them campers and 8-ft please let me know thank you
For sure an 8', looking at it
هل ممكن شحنه للكويت وما تكلفته ؟؟❤❤❤
If anyone gets a big setup , just get the 550 etc.. the difference is astronomical from 450 and 350, dang near close in price.
What exact lift do you have on the truck? Are those 35 inch tires ?
I would like to know as well
Have you slept in that camper below zero? If so, how was it?
Important question. Can I drive it?
I considered a rig like this but bought a Prevost and a Jeep for the same money instead.......
How much wind mph can your 450 truck with truck camper on take? Looks tough!
Wind blows over trains sometimes.
Lol, but it's a good question to ask: what wind speed makes you pull over?
@@celestepalm6949 east/ west on I-80/ I-40&44 in my bumper pull toy hauler not much. When you see semis twisting you are already asking for it.
i used a dodge 3500 found it was far superior to the fords did not feel the need to go bigger
You’re from Australia? Really? I never would have guessed.
Then you don’t have the wide track front end, game changing, turning radius, heavier sway bars, stock from the factory, larger, half shafts in the axles, and larger brakes. Commercial 19.5 inch tires I’ll take the F450 any day.
The F450 has about 1600lbs less payload capacity than an F350. Payload is what you want if you’re putting a 6000lb camper in the bed of your truck. I’ll take the F350 any day with a truck camper!
@@scottmichaels6854 I don’t know where you’re getting your numbers from. My F450 has a payload of 5862 pounds. My camper weighs 5200 pounds. I would much rather have a F450 with that weight than a F350 for the reasons I listed above.
The load range on the tires that came on the F450 is better then those 20 inch wheels... You can only get a 10 ply with 20 inch wheels and the tires that most likely were on stock were a 17.5 wheel with either 12 or 14 ply which would handle the weight way better then those 10 ply 20 inch... Basically those 20 in wheels are for looks, if my family was traveling with me I would've kept the 12 ply tires on it...
Yeah, this is just a show piece. It’s not a practical setup.
I thought this was going to be a great setup until you got to the bathroom. For some reason you didn't want the viewers to see what it looked like so you kept the camera pointed at you instead. I think that changed my mind pretty quick about how nice it was.
Need to remove tailgate?
Obviously.🤦♂️
is the f450 gas ?
Diesel, judging by the idling sound at 7:54. But I think gas is an option too.
Any issues running out of propane
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
An F350 has a payload of 1600lbs MORE than an F450. That means it can carry a heavy camper better than a F450. Yes, towing capacity is more on an F450 but when you lift your truck, you’re losing that towing capacity. This video should basically just say, “we wanted to lift our truck because we liked the way it looked so we bought an F450.” I hate when people try to justify their narcissistic, “look at me” behavior by pretending that they’re doing it for practical or safety reasons.
👍👍
Too bad my 2022 Lance 1172 is a POS, very frustrated for how much I spent on it
I love people who buy a F450 because its "Bigger" but don't do any research and the F350 is actually better... Ford F-350-7,850-pound maximum payload capacity. Ford F-450-6,210-pound maximum payload capacity. F450 has bigger axels which takes away from the weight it can have in the bed and the use the SAME engine so you get no more power.
EXACTLY! If you’re towing a big toy hauler, then a F450 makes sense but when you’re literally putting a camper in the bed of your truck, that extra 1600lbs that you get with an F350 is huge! Payload should be the biggest factor when buying one of these extremely heavy truck campers. A lot of people truly have more money than sense.
@@scottmichaels6854 No you are wrong in everyway. Why do you need a 450 to tow anything, the 450 is the dumbest truck they make, IT DOES NOTHING except turn tighter pulls the exact same weight as a 350.... wake stop buying things just to say you have it.
He didn’t buy that truck Skippy.
@@rolltide9173 and you're the idiot that doesn't get the point
Why would you put that size camper on a 6 foot bed?
F-450 does not come in a short bed. Only configurations are regular or crew cab with 8' bed.
Did I miss him showing the bathroom 🤔
He didn't show it. He just opened the door to it..
@@lookoutnow4996 Got it, I was watching from phone
pinch points can be deadly
F350 and 450 are the same truck, you're still overweight probably more than the 350 because the 450 weighs more. Both are 14k. Should have done more research and got a 550, you only get better turn radius and bigger brakes over the 350, gvrw is the same. Hit a cat scales, you'll see.
The F350 would only buy him another 400 to 500 lbs. With the tongue weight of a boat I'm guessing that it wouldn't be enough.
I went with an 5500 to have no weight worries.
@@rich7447 Tongue weight on a bass boat is less than 500 lbs
@@kylemacdonell1450 You really don't need a truck to tow a bass boat. My 14k lb conventional hitch trailer ranges from 1400 to 2200 lb of tongue weight. Much above that and I am going with a bed mounted hitch.
@@rich7447 I was replying to you stating with the boat tongue weight it wouldn't be enough.. I am saying YES it would
Do you really need to tell us where you're from? hahahaha We knew it as soon as you opened your mouth.
Eagle Cap 1165 blows it away.
Especially since pricing is comparable.
Looks great, but I really do need to tow a 9000 pound boat at the same time. Im wondering if the 4 foot supertruss extension will work with this.
Way too big NA GOOD
Click bait !
Nice!
Living the dream. I bet that camper gets old after a while tho
LAME!!!!
Seeck
That’s OK… Who needs to see the inside of the dumb old bathroom anyway…
