- Normally I play this small gem from the Orgelbüchlein at a higher speed. Someone convinced me to play it much slower, and it sounds really good. Besides that, it gives you more time to suck up the beautiful counterpoint and harmonies by Herr Bach.

thank you! very meditative!
You have hit my idea of the sound of the organ chorale very precisely here. It was a pleasure to listen to your recording.
Thanks, Nils-Ole!
It's also very good at this tempo: we have time to hear all the voices.

Wonderful Ralph!👏👏👏👏

You're welcome
Good tempo
Thanks!
The tempo is beautiful. Bach often is played too fast.
Thanks, true!
You were given really good advice. The famous "Ich ruf' zu Dir Herr Jesu Christ" is the number BWV 639, right before this choral. It too has a sad, deeply melancholic tone and in both pieces, the middle voice(s) is moving mainly in "singing" semiquavers. The two pieces have a deep correspondence in feel in my opinion. If you check for example czcams.com/video/X9Dh43kVL1Q/video.html which is in my opinion a nice tempo for BWV 639, it is almost exactly the same tempo you chose. So, this tempo IS how it should be played!
Bach era toccato dalla Grazia Divina per comporre.
