476.66 yards is basically at or within 10 yards of render. That's an amazing shot. And if you didn't have it before, there's an Achievement on Steam for hitting vitals from that distance.

Absolutely! I’ve been playing for five years and still find new places to hunt, and different animal variations and sizes! Well worth it at full price, and definitely worth it on sale!

How are you able to see animals at 476 yards?
pc has a bit more render distance
If you're in a raised position, like a mountain top, the game adds the height, so you can actually have render distances up to 470, 480 or more. Should also be the same on consoles. ;)
Actually of doesn’t have more render. The distance is on a plain so 476 is more like 440 or so on a flat plain. The game renders on that plain and that’s the distance so with elevation you can get distances that would be unreal. My farthest is 483.8yds
