Back when football coverage was regional , the big match was broadcast in the London area . Where I grew up we had Star Soccer after a Sunday roast around 2pm which covered Midlands teams as the main game and showed as in this episode the Palace game quick highlights , Leeds too .
Nostalgia moment 101...anyone remember bubblegum with football cards around this time? I seem to remember a main player picture on the front like say Kenny Hibbett of Wolves and then on the back was random football trivia and laws of the game.
We,Pompey, won League One recently as champions (2024) but the authorities fined the club for a pitch invasion when the fans knew we secured promotion. It was pure joy,no trouble was looking to be caused. The 80s are over and fans are different now.
Not in the 60s 70s & 80s he wasn't. One of the best in the country, but he could have his bad days. Let's banish that word Underrated from CZcams, it's sooo overrated by Millennials.
By who? He was well rated in his day in the late 60s & 70s. He didn't really blossom playing for England. He wasn't a team type player but like Besty could score great goals.
