Meanwhile, Hamas launched 33 attacks against Israeli troops, making it the largest attack by the Palestinian group this year. As Israel prepares for an all out operation in Rafah, parents of Israeli troops urge Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to not go ahead with the operation fearing heavy casualties on the Israeli side. Netanyahu was even heckled by families and protesters as he delivered the Memorial Day speech. Now, the United States has come in support of Israel saying that they do not think the operation in Gaza is akin to a genocide.
